沙地上的足迹

一天晚上，有个人做了个梦。他梦见自己和上帝一起行走。天空中，闪现过他一生的场景。在每个场景中，他都注意到，沙地上有两行足迹。一行是他的，另一行是上帝的。

当他生命中的最后一幕闪现在他眼前时，他回头看了看沙地上的足迹。他发现，在他的人生路上，很多时候只有一行足迹。他还注意到，那都是在他生命中最低谷和最悲伤的时候发生的。

这让他很困扰。他向上帝询问这件事。

“上帝。你说，一旦我决定追随你，你就会和我一路同行。但我注意到，在我生命中最困难的时候，只有一行足迹。我不明白，为什么在我最需要你的时候，你会离开我。”

上帝回答说：“孩子，你不记得了吗？凡是一行足迹，那都是我们在玩单脚跳的时候。”

注：1）除了在梦中，谁都无法在现实中看到上帝，更别说上帝会帮你。2）与其埋怨没有人陪伴你，不如把自己的一行脚印，看作是两个人的单脚跳游戏。

原文： Footprints in the Sand

One night a man had a dream。He dreamt he was walking with the Lord。Across the sky flashed scenes of his life。For each scene，he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand。One belonged to him，and the other to the Lord。

When the last scene of his life flashed before him，he looked back at the footprints in the sand。He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints。He also noticed that it had happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life。

This really bothered the man and he questioned the Lord about it。

“Lord，you said that once I decided to follow you，you'd walk with me all the way。But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life，there is only one set of footprints。I don't understand why，when I needed you most，you would leave me。”

The Lord replied：“Don't you remember，kid？That's when we were both hopping on one foot。”
