菜鸟警察

一名菜鸟警察被指派与一名经验丰富的老鸟警察搭档，一起坐车巡逻。车上的无线电里传来一个呼叫，要求他们驱散一些在城里游荡的人。

他俩开车到达呼叫指定的那条街，立即发现有一小群人站在一个街角。

这名菜鸟摇下车窗说：“请离开那个街角。”

没有人动。

于是，他又叫道：“请立刻离开那个街角。马上！”

这群人露出慌张的样子，开始离开，并向他投来疑惑的目光。

这位年轻的菜鸟警察对自己首次执行公务的结果感到自鸣得意。

他转过身问搭档：“嗯。我做得怎么样？”

“不错。”老鸟警察回答说：“你没想到这是一个公交车站。”

原文： Rookie Cop

A rookie Police Officer was assigned to ride in a cruiser with a more experienced partner。A call came over the car's radio telling them to disperse some people in town who were loitering。

The officers drove to the street and immediately observed a small crowd standing on one corner。

The rookie rolled down his window and said：“Let's get off the corner。”

No one moved，so he barked again：“Let's get off the corner now！”

Intimidated，the group of people began to leave，casting puzzled glances in his direction。

Proud of his first official act，the young policeman turned to his partner and asked：“Well，how did I do？”

“Pretty good。”replied the veteran，“considering this is a bus stop。”
