倒霉的新郎

小镇上的一名警察拦下了一名在主街上超速行驶的司机。

“但是，警官。”那人说道，“我可以解释。”

“保持安静。”警察厉声说道，“我要让你在监狱里等着，直到局长回来。”

“但是，警官。我只想说……”

“我说过要保持安静！你要进监狱了！”

几个小时后，警察看了看囚犯，说道：“算你走运。局长正在参加他女儿的婚礼。他回来时会有好心情来处理你。”

“别指望了。”被关在拘留室里的那家伙回答道，“我就是那新郎。”

A police officer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street。

“But officer，”the man began，“I can explain。”

“Just be quiet。”snapped the officer，“I'm going to let you cool your heels in jail until the chief gets back。”

“But，officer，I just wanted to say……”

“And I said to keep quiet！You're going to jail！”

A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said：“Lucky for you that the chief's at his daughter's wedding。He'll be in a good mood when he gets back。”

“Don't count on it。”answered the fellow in the cell，“I'm the groom。”
