两名大学校队的美式橄榄球运动员正在参加一次重要的期末考试。如果不及格，他们将被留校察看，并被禁止参加在下周举办的糖碗比赛。

考试是填空题。最后一个问题是：“老麦克唐纳有一个_________。”

布巴被难住了。他不知道答案。他知道，他必须要把这题答对了才能确保他通过考试。

趁教授不注意的时候，他拍了拍迪尼的肩膀。

“嘘。迪尼。最后那道题的答案是什么？”

迪尼笑了。他环顾四周，确定教授没有在关注他们。然后，转向布巴。

“布巴，你真傻。每个人都知道老麦克唐纳有个农场。”

“哦。是的。”布巴说，“我想起来了。”

他拿起2号铅笔，开始在填空处写下答案。

他停了下来，再次伸手拍拍迪尼的肩膀。

他低声说：“迪尼。农场这个词怎么拼写？”

注：1）糖碗赛（Sugar Bowl）是美国一年一度的大学橄榄球校际赛的季外赛，每年元旦在路易斯安那州（Louisiana）的新奥尔良（New Orleans）举行。2）老麦当劳有个农场（Old MacDonald had a farm）是一首著名的关于农民和农场中各种动物的童谣。已被译成多种语言版本在世界各地流行。这首儿歌几乎每一句歌词的后面都跟着一个语气助词，也叫衬词，咿呀咿呀噢（E-I-E-I-O）。这个语气助词在歌曲中反复出现。因此，只要听到这个“咿呀咿呀噢”时，就知道唱的是“老麦当劳有个农场”。

原文： Old McDonald Had a Farm

Two football players were taking an important final exam。If they failed，they would be on academic probation and not allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl the following week。

The exam was fill-in-the-blank。The last question read，“Old MacDonald had a _________。”

Bubba was stumped。He had no idea of the answer。He knew he needed to get this one right to be sure he passed。

Making sure the professor wasn't watching，he tapped Tiny on the shoulder。

“Pssst，Tiny。What's the answer to the last question？”

Tiny laughed。He looked around to make sure the professor hadn't noticed then he turned to Bubba。

“Bubba，you're so stupid。Everyone knows Old MacDonald had a farm。”

“Oh yeah，”said Bubba。“I remember now。”

He picked up his No.2 pencil and started to write the answer in the blank。

He stopped。Reaching to tap Tiny's shoulder again，he whispered，“Tiny，how do you spell farm？”

“You are really dumb，Bubba。That's so easy。Farm is spelled E-I-E-I-O。”
