马萨诸塞州（Massachusetts）土生土长的迪伦·弗格森（Dylan Ferguson）今年25岁。滑板运动、冲浪和自己缝制衣服都属于他擅长的活动，但他最大的愿望是代表美国参加索契（Sochi）冬奥会，带回一块奥运会自由式高台滑雪项目的奖牌。
高台滑雪运动员从陡峭的高处向下飞跃后，在落地前有约20米的距离进行空翻和转体动作。
弗格森说：“我不会撒谎，这是一项需要胆量的运动。你需要知道的是，如果你很自信地纵身一跃，起跳很好，一切都会顺利。我要努力放松，调整呼吸。”
弗格森曾获得参加2010年冬奥会（Winter Olympics）的资格。但在温哥华（Vancouver）举行冬奥会开幕式的前一周，他做了阑尾切除手术，被迫待在病床上看冬奥会。
如今，他是世界排名第四的高台滑雪运动员。如果他有资格成为美国队的一员，他准备在跃下高台后大胆地作五次转体和三次空翻，表达对已去世的美国冬奥会自由式高台滑雪项目奖牌得主杰瑞特·彼得森（Jeret Peterson）的敬意。

Aerial Skier Dylan Ferguson Flying High for Sochi

At age 25, Massachusetts native Dylan Ferguson can count skateboarding, surfing and making his own clothes among his many accomplishments, but his biggest ambition is to represent the United States at the Sochi Games and bring home an Olympic medal in freestyle aerials skiing.
After propelling themselves down a steep jump, aerial skiers have approximately 20 meters of space to perform somersaults and twists before hitting the ground.
“I am not going to lie, it is a terrifying sport. You just have to know that everything will be okay if you jump confidently and have a good takeoff. I try to just relax and breathe,” Ferguson said.
Ferguson qualified for the 2010 Winter Olympics, but just one week before the opening ceremonies in Vancouver he had to have his appendix removed and was forced to watch the games from a hospital bed.
Today he is the world’s fourth-ranked aerialist, and if he qualifies for a spot on the U.S. team, he is planning an ambitious jump of five twists and three flips in tribute to the late U.S. aerial freestyle medalist Jeret Peterson.
