The BAC is honored to host an evening with artist Peter Wayne Lewis. Born in Kingston, Jamaica. Peter immigrated to the USA in 1962 and now shares his time between studios in New York and Beijing. His work expands the tradition of American abstract art. His paintings have been said to enact a visual language of the spontaneous self as it explores the harmonious grace of the universe. The BAC is thrilled to present eight works that Mr. Lewis considers some of the most important paintings that he has done in China over the past 7 years.

北京美国中心很荣幸能举办美国艺术家彼得-韦恩-刘易斯的画展开幕酒会及讲座。彼得出生在牙买加的金斯敦,于1962年移民到美国,现在奔波于他在纽约和北京的工作室。他的作品扩展了传统的美国抽象艺术。他的画作被评论为不但是一种展现自我的视觉语言,同时也探索了宇宙的和谐优雅。北京美国中心很荣幸地展出刘易斯先生的八件作品。他本人认为这些画作是他过去7年在中国的创作中最重要的作品。
