Storm ceased, the petals in the soil smell nice,

The sun’s high, I feel no urge to do hair.

He’s gone, though his things are still here and there,

Tears down before I say my prayer.

All say spring scenes in Double-Brooks pleasing,  

Thus, I’d be boating there for some fresh air.

But fear Double-Brooks' boats too small to bear

My weightiest woe and despair.
