加拿大华裔女诗人星子安娜(ANNA YIN)邀我参加6月20日在多伦多举行的中西诗人纪念屈原的读诗活动。可惜我因事无法前往,但她还是把我的几首关于端午的双语诗,连同我的照片及简历,张贴在节目里。她的盛意与热情实在令我感动:

非马,原名马为义,美籍华裔,威斯康辛大学核工博士,在美国从事能源研究工作多年。着有中英文诗集二十一种,散文集三种及译着多种。主编《朦胧诗选》丶《台湾现代诗选》等。曾任美国伊利诺州诗人协会会长,为芝加哥诗人俱乐部成员。
William Marr, a Chinese-American, has
published 21 volumes of poetry, most of them in his native Chinese
language, and several books of translations. His poems have
appeared in over one hundred anthologies and textbooks and have
been translated into over ten different languages. He is a member
of Chicago Poets Club and a former president of the Illinois State
Poetry Society.
看划龙船
非马作
如果鼓声是龙的心跳
那几十支桨该是龙的脚吧
鼓,越敲越响
心,越跳越急
脚,点着水
越走越快越轻盈
而岸上小小的心啊
便也一个个
咚咚 咚咚
咚咚
一起一落
一起一落
爸爸们!请牵牢你们孩子的小手
说不定什么时候
他们当中会有人
随着龙的一声呼啸
腾空而起
DRAGON BOAT
RACING

if those drumbeats are the
heartbeats
of the
dragons
then the wooden paddles must be
their feet
the drums, banging louder and
louder
the hearts, pounding faster and
faster
the pace of the feet, tapping on
the water
becomes quicker and more
graceful
and the little hearts on the shores
too
boom boom
rise and fall
boom
boom
rise and fall
O fathers! Please hold on to the little
hands
of your
children
not sure when some of
them
will soar to the
sky
following the roar of a dragon
端午沱江泛舟
──凤凰游

闪闪烁烁的记忆
仍在时间之流随水灯冉冉漂荡
我们的眼睛
早已迷雾弥漫
如今夜略带寒意的江面
白天敲击我们心胸的砰砰鼓声
终於停歇
万桨激荡的水波
也渐趋平静
朦胧的星光下
依稀有两只鸳鸯
或野鸭
在那里交颈蜜语
莫忘今宵

While our memory is still flickering
and drifting
with the water lamps in the
stream of time
our eyes are already
filled with fog
like the chilly surface
of tonight’s river
The drumbeats pounding our chests all
day
are finally
silent
waves stirred up by the thousands
of paddles
have also calmed
Under the hazy
starlight
a couple of mandarin
ducks
are chattering and necking
don’t forget tonight
端午
非马作
照例
一只只龙舟
争先恐後
出去
照例
一只只龙舟
垂头丧气
回来
找遍了
所有的大江小河
湖沼沟渠
找遍了
那水花一溅後
一下子便过去了两千多年
且看样子还会绵绵下去的
时间之流
就是不见踪影
或许
我们该
循江入海
或许
我们并不真的知道
屈原的模样

one after

drag themselves
back

They have been
searching
large rivers, small
waterways
lakes, ponds, and even
ditches
They have been
searching
the stream of
time
from that instant of
splash
that occurred over two thousand
years ago
to the foreseeable
future
There is just no trace of
him
Perhaps
we
should
follow the river into the
ocean
Perhaps
we don't really know
what does Qu
Yuan look like
