艾揚格箴言81:

In the beginning, pain can be very strong because the body resists us. By surrendering to it, we soften the body, and gradually it will lessen.

開始練習瑜伽時,疼痛可能很強烈,因為身體會發出抵抗。通過聽之任之、接受疼痛,我們柔軟了身體,疼痛也將逐漸減輕。

艾揚格箴言82:

Pain comes to guide you. When you have known pain, you will be compassionate. Shared joys can not teach us this.

疼痛是你的嚮導。當你覺知了疼痛,你會變得慈悲。享樂無法教會我們慈悲。

艾揚格箴言83:

So it is by facing up to adversity and suffering, and accepting it as a necessary means, that our anxieties are resolved and disappear.

所以,面對逆境和苦難,把它當作必要的考驗來接受,我們的焦慮得以解決而消除。

艾揚格箴言84:

Let the goal be to reach perfection, but be content with a little progress toward perfection every day. Over ambition can be destructive of sustainable progress.

讓習練目標通向完美,但仍要滿足於每天的一點小進步。過度追求完美只會摧毀進步的腳步。

艾揚格箴言85:

It is better to do a good pose minimum than a bad pose maximum.

與其大量做一个錯誤體式,不如少量練習一個正確體式。

艾揚格箴言86:

Long uninterrupted practice of asana and pranayama, done with awareness, makes the foundation firm and brings success.

長期不間斷帶著覺知練習體式和呼吸法,就可以打下牢固基礎,並且帶來成功。

艾揚格箴言87:

Do not allow past experiences to be imprinted on your mind. Perform asana each time with a fresh mind and with a fresh approach.

不要讓過去的經驗在心中留下印記。每次練習體式都要以全新的心態和全新的方法來進行。

艾揚格箴言88:

If we ever find ourselves apart from or superior to others, purer or more elevated by yoga, we can be sure that we are becalmed or even drifting back into a state of ignorance.

如果修習瑜伽我們發現任何时候自己都與眾不同、高人一等、比別人更純淨,或者比別人更高貴,毫無置疑我們已陷入停滯,甚至倒退回無知的狀態。

艾揚格箴言89:

On the other contrary, practice and purity of life place us "among" not above.

正相反,練習與生活的純潔將我們處於「大家之中」而非之上。

艾揚格箴言90:

So let me do what I cannot do, not what I can do.

所以讓我做我不能做的,而不是做我能做的。
