【Genesis 9:2 李杜圣经札记】

2 凡地上的走兽和空中的飞鸟，都必惊恐，惧怕你们。连地上一切的昆虫并海里一切的鱼，都交付你们的手。 

ERV:

2 Every animal on earth, every bird in the air, every animal that crawls on the ground, and every fish in the sea will be afraid of you. All of them will be under your control. 

NIV:

2 The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands. 

评述：

记得创世纪第一章里，上帝造人，仅仅让亚当和子孙“管理”（rule over）飞禽走兽，现在更进一步，把动物的生杀予夺也授予了人类。

英语里，“fear”和“dread”作名词时，有程度的区别。“dread”是更大的“fear”。

可以想象，起初，人与鸟兽和谐共存，其乐融融；大洪水之后，人类与动物之间已生隔膜，横亘着惊恐和惧怕。伊甸园，仅在几章之前，已遥远得恍若隔世。
