跨学科主题学习活动设计(三)

T: In the world, there are a lot of beautiful and interesting countries. But in my mind, the most beautiful and interesting country is China, our motherland. Do you love China?

Ss: Yes.

T: We should love our motherland China. And we should love our hometown Wangting too.

C. About Wangting

(1) Enjoy a song(望亭版《无与伦比的美丽之大运河》)

T: Let’s enjoy a song about Wangting and relax.

T/Ss watch the video and sing together.

T: What is the song about? Do you know?

Ss: 大运河。

T: Yes. It’s about the Grand Canal, just beside our school. Part of it is in our hometown Wangting. Can you introduce it if visitors come to Wangting?

(2) Think and say

T: What do you know about it?

S1: It has a long history.

S2: It is very big and long.

S3: There are many ships on it.

S4: The canal is very busy.

T: What can you see along the canal?

S5: I can see lots of green trees and colourful flowers along it.

S6: Along it, I can see the running path and Wangyun Pavilion.

S7: There is One Market beside it.

(3) Discuss and say

T: Good. You know something about it. Can you find out more about it? How do you get information?

如何查找、收集关于大运河(望亭段)的信息(综合实践技能)

a. 上网搜索关键词,查找相关网页信息

b. 去当地图书馆,找寻相关书籍和杂志,查找所需信息

c. 询问当地学者,了解大运河的文化传承

d. 沿着运河边,用照相机记录在运河的所见所闻

e. 在望亭镇公众号里,查找关于运河信息

T: Good ideas. After class, please work in four, cooperate with others and try to find out more about the Grand Canal (Wangting part) in different ways.
