明月几时有？

把酒问青天。

不知天上宫阙，

今夕是何年？

我欲乘风归去，

唯恐琼楼玉宇，

高处不胜寒。

起舞弄清影，

何似在人间？

转朱阁，

低绮户，

照无眠。

不应有恨，

何事偏向别时圆？

人有悲欢离合，

月有阴晴圆缺，

此事古难全。

但愿人长久，

千里共婵娟。

How long will the fullmoon appear?

Wine cup in hand, I askthe sky.

I do not know what timeof the year

T would be tonight in thepalace on high.

Riding the wind, there Iwould fly,

Yet I’m afraid thecrystalline palace would be

Too high and cold for me.

I rise and dance, with myshadow I play.

On high as on earth,would it be as gay?

The moon goes round themansions red

Through gauze-drapedwindow soft to shed

Her light upon thesleepless bed.

Why then when peoplepart, is the oft full and bright?

Men have sorrow and joy;they part or meet again;

The moon is bright or dimand she may wax or wane.

There has been nothingperfect since the olden days.

So let us wish that man

Will live long as he can!

Though miles apart, we’llshare the beauty she displays.

How rare the moon, soround and clear!

With cup in hand, I askof the blue sky,

"I do not know inthe celestial sphere

What name this festivenight goes by?"

I want to fly home,riding the air,

But fear the etherealcold up there,

The jade and crystalmansions are so high!

Dancing to my shadow,

I feel no longer themortal tie.

She rounds the vermiliontower,

Stoops to silk-pad doors,

Shines on those whosleepless lie.

Why does she, bearing usno grudge,

Shine upon our parting,reunion deny?

But rare is perfecthappiness--

The moon does wax, themoon does wane,

And so men meet and saygoodbye.

I only pray our life belong,

And our souls togetherheavenward fly!
