科学家和普通游客去南极等偏远地带的目的肯定有别，造成的影响也不同。利大于弊或弊大于利都可以写，就看你觉得哪些证据你更方便说清楚

scientists : 

1.科学家开展科学研究，并提供解决方案。比如：南极科学站监测气候变化和冰川融化进程，探寻全球变暖原因并向人们提出警告给出建议；            

2.深入了解该地区的生态环境以及自然资源。

tourists/individual explorers：

1.满足探险好奇心、征服欲; 

2.获得原始风光的极致体验。举例

带动旅游业发展，提供就业机会（后面这个促进旅游业发展大家都会写，但个人觉得放在这里不是特别好的角度，实在没话写的不妨试一试。）

弊：

1.各国派科学勘察极地，可能会引起资源争夺；

2.极地科研所需经费负担较重。对于发展中国家，这些科研投资可以用来改善国民健康教育等更紧迫的民生需求。

3.游客留下垃圾，对当地珍惜动物生存环境造成破坏。

4.游客自身的安全风险。

以上各种负面因素也不是都要提到，大家动笔时自己都有倾向，而且一般都捡自己容易展开的角度去写。

这道题，说实话，不容易写好。但你也不能保证下次就不碰到。所以应对的最好方法就是，自己动手组织下语言，再不行就等着参考下面Amy的sample answer，拓宽下思路，积累些该话题相关词汇。

Thanks to the advances in technology and transportation, people now can go to far away places and explore the unknown world. Personally I believe the benefits of this trend prevail over its downsides.

First, the trips of scientists to remote natural environments are meaningful and essential. One of the missions of scientists is to explore the unknown fields and help ordinary people to better understand the world they live in. For example, by monitoring, recording and analyzing the changing of ice cap and glaciers and atmosphere inside the air, researchers can get first-hand evidence about global warming and come up with solutions to prevent potential environmental disasters. Besides, such explorations enable scientists to get a closer look at the local eco-system and the untapped natural resources. For instance, thanks to South Pole expeditions by scientists from around the world, people now know about its severe weather condition, wildlife species and natural resources like coal, oil and gas that Antarctica possesses.

As for tourists, these adventures can bring obvious boons as well. For one thing, exploring mysterious places can satisfy their curiosity and desire for conquest. For another, by exploring the wonder of nature, they acquire extraordinary experiences that ordinary journeys cannot provide---from touching unknown plants when traveling to Amazon forest to taking photos of polar bears.

However, setting foot in remote areas such as South Pole also bring alarming problems. One big danger is that biological balance might be disturbed by human activities. Trash left behind by hordes of tourists and pollutants generated from science research pose a severe threat to habitats of the endangered species. Another concern is that conflicts and disputes over the rights of rare natural resources such as oil and gas are likely to be on the rise among countries. As the fuels supply around the world is running out, untouched places with large amounts of fuel reserve is undoubtedly tempting to every country.

In conclusion, I believe trips to remote natural environments should be encouraged both for scientific research and individual tour. However, the adverse impacts of human activities on the local environment should be minimized.
