1. Revision: How do people in different countries greet each other?

Eg. China, America, India and Japan.

1. Present pictures of different people in different countries and how do they greet each other

2. Ask students to read and try to use these words, like kiss, wave, nod, shake hands.

自学自检：学生独立朗读单词并尝试背诵。

互助互学：以小组、对组为单位互相检查并抽测。

在自学自检、互帮互学中掌握新单词，体现学生的学习主动性和互助性。

分析文章

1. Ask students to do fast reading:

1) What’s the passage mainly about?

2) Match the main ideas with the paragraphs.

2. Ask students to do careful reading:

Para2: answer the question 1) Can you stand close to people in the Middle East? 2) It is rude / polite to stand too close to people.

Para3: choose the right answers and try to retell.

Paragraph 4 and 5: answer the following questions. “How do people think waving to say goodbye in Greece?”

自学自检：通过快速浏览的方式进行快速阅读，掌握本文主要大意。

展示点评：搭档互相展示讨论结果。

归纳小结：引导学生以首段和首句为抓手答题，并做出标记。

通过问题的层层设置，逐步引导学生从快速阅读慢慢过渡到对细节的处理，了解 国家之间的文化差异。

掌握写作方法

1.Get students to master the important table manners, especially when we eat with foreign people.

2.Ask students to fill in the table about table manners

3. Ask students to present their emails.

自学自检:引导学生关注在与外国人吃饭时的礼仪，并给玲玲一些建议。

归纳总结：引导学生小组发表自己的对话。

1. 引出email: From,sent, to, subject.

2.主体：围绕table manners。

通过对餐桌礼仪的分析，拓展学生对就餐相关问题的了解，并完成对应的文章。

1. Ask students to summarize the different meanings of the same body language in different countries and  how to write a email about table manners for people in different countries.
