  Chapter 61 Humility

Poems said

A great country, humble and kind as a mother, can return to the world.

The female is often superior to the male. She is always quiet and humble.

Big countries do what small countries do, and small countries trust big countries.

Small countries do what big countries do. Big countries trust small countries.

Be humble and get it. Be humble and get it.

Big countries are tolerated by small countries, and small countries are tolerated by big countries.

If both have what they desire, let humility dwell low.

Nothing is more important than humility for big countries, and humility for small ones.

原文

The original

 (1) if the big country dirty, the world of the turn, the world of the female.

(2)The female is always victorious with quietness and is subordinate to quietness.

 (3) Therefore, a small country below a big country is chosen. A big country below a small country is a big country. So either down to take, or down to take. Big countries only want people, small countries only want people. Both for their part, the greater for the lower.

译文

The translation

(1) If a great country is humble and kind and gentle as a mother, it will be the home of the world.

(2) The mother is often superior to the male because she can be quiet and humble.

(3) Therefore, a big country can gain the trust of a small country if it humbles itself toward it. A small country can win the trust of a big one by being humble to it. Therefore, either it will be received by humility, or it will be received by humility. Big countries only want to absorb small countries, and small countries only want to be treated by big countries. Humility is essential if both are to get what they seek.

Chapter 62 The Mystery of All Things

Poems said

Tao is the master of all things, tao is the mystery of all things.

The Word is the treasure of the good and the mediator of sinners.

Good words win respect, and good deeds win respect.

People are not good to eliminate, throw in where can be poor.

So it is for the son of Heaven, or into the three duke.

Treasure countless splendor, not all empty.

Why was tao valued in ancient times? Seek in the road and you will meet.

Sin can be forgiven, so the world is the most honorable!

原文

The original

 (1) Tao is the Essence of all things. The treasure of a good man is kept by a bad man.

 (2) Good words can be honored, and good deeds can add others, but if people are not good, why should they be abandoned?

(3)Therefore, it is better to sit down in this way than to have three princes, although they have a vault of four.

(4) Why is this road so valuable in ancient times? Do not have to ask to get, guilty lest evil? Therefore, it is expensive in the world.

译文

The translation

(1)Tao is the Lord of all things, the treasure of the good and the mediator of sinners.

 (2) Fine words are worthy of honor, and fine deeds are respected, but how can bad deeds be excluded and rejected?

(3) Therefore, it is better to sit in this avenue than to be set up as the son of Heaven and appointed as three princes (Tai Shi, Tai Fu and Tai Bao), with countless treasures and splendor.

(4) Why was Tao valued in ancient times? Is it not because in him one seeks and finds, and SINS are forgiven? So Tao is the most honorable thing in the world!

 Chapter 63 Silence and inaction

Poems said

Quiet when the act, uneventful for things.

Tasteless when taste, big small xi small for big.

Good for evil, good for evil.

When it is easy, it is difficult.

The world is difficult from easy, the world of great things to do in detail.

Start small and end up doing great things,

Easy promises are hard to believe.

The sage still has the heart of difficulty, and finally achieves nothing difficult.

原文

The original

(1) For nothing, nothing, tasteless.

 (2) How much size, complain to Germany.

(3) The picture is more difficult than it is easier. The world is difficult, must do in easy, the world events, must do in detail.

(4) The sage is not great, so he can become great.

(5) Light nuo will be little letter, how easy will be difficult. It is difficult to be a saint, so it is not difficult at all.

译文

The translation

(1) the quiet as a thing, to be safe as a thing, with tasteless as a taste.

(2) Let small be great, little be much, and good for evil.

(3) Seek difficult things when they are easy, and accomplish great things in small things. The world's difficult, will start from easy; The affairs of the world must be started from the smallest point. (4) Therefore, the sage from beginning to end does not think himself great, but can accomplish great things.

(5)Easy promises are seldom trusted. What looks easy is hard in the end.

(6) Therefore, the sage still has a difficult heart, but nothing is difficult.

Chapter 64 Its security and portability

Poems said

Enron stable easy to hold, did not see the end of easy plan.

Fragile is not easy to collapse, subtle is not easy to dissipate.

Things do not send when efforts, the world is not messy first governance.

The folded wood is born from the milli, and the nine-layer platform is born from the earth.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

A saint is a man who does nothing and loses nothing because he does nothing and loses nothing.

The world is engaged in many strange, often in a few and failed.

If careful end such as the initial, the end of the matter into no defeat.

The world abandoned saints, the world values the saint abandoned.

The world does not learn the sage, leading out of the crisis.

In doing so, the sage conforms to the nature of all things.

It is not one's own duty to be spontaneous and at ease.

原文

The original

 (1) its easy to hold, it is not easy to find. It is fragile, it is slightly easy to disperse. For it is not, treatment is not chaos.

(2) The folded wood is born at the very end; Nine layers of Taiwan, from the tired soil; A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

 (3) for the defeat, the implementation of the loss. It is the sage who does nothing without failure, without persistence without loss.

 (4) What people do is often defeated by success. He that finishes well is sure of failure.

(5) it is not desirable to be a saint, not expensive rare goods; Learn not to learn, answer what everyone has done. To supplement the nature of all things, and dare not.

译文

The translation

(1) Safely and smoothly, it is easy to hold; Did not see the end, can be easy to plot. Weak, easy to collapse; Subtle does not show, easy to dissipate. Try before things happen, govern before things get messy.

 (2) The thick wood that is folded is as thin as a needle; The nine-story high tower was built with baskets of earth; Thousands of miles of journey, step by step to step.

(3) If you try, you will fail. What man holds must be lost. Therefore, a saint does not fail by his own deeds; Not their own efforts to hold, do not lose.

 (4) It is common for men to almost succeed and then fail. Be as cautious to the end as you were at the beginning, and there will be no failure.

(5) Therefore, the sage values what the world rejects, and does not value what the world values; The saints learn what the world considered foolishness, and did not learn; they bring all men back from their transgressions. By doing this, the sage conforms to the nature of all things, not to his own actions.

 Chapter 65 The Good Way

Poems said

In ancient times, the doers were good at civilizing people.

It doesn't make you smarter, it makes you simpler and simpler.

Therefore the son of man is hard to rule; he is wise, treacherous and strange.

If you rule a country with wisdom, it will bring disaster to the country and its people.

If a nation is not governed by wisdom, the nation will have good news.

Two laws never change, and this law is forever.

Call it supreme virtue, call it supreme grace.

Xuande is far-reaching and anti-material, which is the only way to achieve great success.

(1)In ancient times, the wise man did not make the world more and more wise, but made the world more and more foolish.

(2)For man is hard to rule, because he is wise and deceitful. Therefore, if a country is governed by man's wisdom, it will surely bring disaster to the country and the people. It is a blessing for a nation if it is not governed by the wisdom of men.

 (3) You should know that these two laws are immutable. To always remember this law is supreme kindness.

(4)The supreme kindness! How mysterious, how profound, how incongruous, even vastly different from the general truth, and yet this is the only way to greatness!

Chapter 66 A Sea full of Rivers

Poems said

Rivers and seas allow hundreds of rivers, and hundreds of rivers respect the sea as the king of the valley.

Because it is low, thousands of streams return to the valley.

Man must first humble himself before all the nations.

We should first have confidence in ourselves, before we take it.

The sage is not heavy on the upper people, the sage is not satisfied with the former people.

Be humble and do nothing, and take things for granted.

No contest, no contest, no one to fight for heaven.

Chapter 67 Three Treasures of the World

Poems said

People say it's too big to imagine.

It's because he's too big to be specific.

If he is really anything, he is nothing.

I have three things in life that I hold fast to and keep in mind.

The first is love, the second is simplicity, and the third is not daring to lead the world.

Courage is in mercy, and frugality in extension.

Do not compete with the world, to be known as a teacher.

Today's people dance dust, left brave lost love.

Lose simplicity for amplification, lose humility to preempt.

He was not far from death!

Line is not lined up without arms, without weapons invincible.

The greatest evil is to despise the enemy, and to despise the enemy is to lose the treasure.

The two armies are in a close confrontation, and the mourning army will undoubtedly win.

Chapter 70 What is scarce is dear

Poems said

I am a guest, not a Lord. Dare not inch and get feet.

What I say is easy to understand, what I say is easy to do.

People under heaven do not understand, do not understand, do not do.

I have a root in what I say and a mind in what I do.

Ye think ye wise, and know not my speech and my affections.

The less people know me, the more precious I am.

The saint is clothed in sackcloth, but in his heart is true treasure.

 (1) My words are easy to know and easy to perform. The world can not know, do not.

 (3) Who knows me, then I am valuable. (4) Is the saint was brown and jade.

译文

The translation

My words are easy to understand and easy to put into practice. But they under heaven could not understand it, nor do it.

(2) My words have roots, my affairs have masters. Ye are wise in your own eyes;

(3)therefore ye know not me (my words and my ways). The scarcer the people who understand me, the more precious I have.

(4) So the appearance of the saint is sackcloth, and inside there are true treasures.
