Capricorn
Life: Well, this has been quite a year, hasn’t it, and it’s not going out with a whimper. Late September is a key period, as is the end of December. At these times Pluto and Uranus are at their peak of their powers, removing obstacles to your happiness and success but also giving you a very bumpy ride. So, stop waiting for people to make their decisions and put together some plans of your own – with or without them. It may be that you have changed home or work location already; on the other hand if such a possibility is on the table, expect to be doing some moving and shifting during this quarter. The key to making the autumn a success, or riding through it with relative equanimity, is not to rely on past experience as an indicator of how a certain situation will work out now. Things have changed; they are changing, and they will continue to change. But you will survive; you could, in fact, thrive.

Love: You are in something of a transitional stage, so you need to have an open mind and an open heart. It may take until the second half of 2013 before you know exactly where you are (or where you want to be) relationship-wise, and until signs of promise or problems are confirmed. You and a partner should be doing the work of relationship, which means not raking up past incidents and focusing instead on the end game, and the best way to get there. Some Capricorns will be getting used to living with step-children, which will challenge your relationship: while you should set up clear boundaries, be generous and forgiving too. Others could be coping with a loss of some description in a partner’s life. The full moon of 28 December is the most powerful point of this quarter – although late September and late November will give you a good run for your money! – one of those make- or-break, I-do-or-I-don’t times.

Money: With Saturn moving out of its all-powerful position (October 5) a period of intense struggle, on the one hand, and attainment, on the other, is over. This is not to say that progress is a given from now on or that you won’t experience any opposition whatsoever (late September, late November and the end of the year are cases in point) but you yourself should feel more positive about the future and will be better able to bounce over any bumps. Mars enters Capricorn on 17 November, in the wake of a solar eclipse, and this may coincide with a new phase of your career, even the start of a fresh business enterprise, and from this point you should power forward and welcome the competition. Jupiter’s current position should be boosting your earning power and encouraging you to get out of your comfort zone; it should also be easing financial pressures. Capricorn has a tendency to block its own progress by playing it too safe: sometimes you just have to take a risk.
