据国际劳工组织（International Labor Organization）估计，全世界有2,100万人——其中包括1,500万成人和600万儿童——成为强制劳役的受害者。
美国劳工部（U.S. Department of Labor）的研究表明，最经常使用强制劳役的制成品是服装。
劳工部最近制作了一套指导材料，以帮助美国企业把儿童和强制劳役生产的产品从供应链中消除。该部还发布了其认定是由儿童和强制劳役生产的产品和服务清单（2012年）（PDF, 1.8MB）。每一个人都能帮助摆脱现代奴役的灾难。

In choosing a holiday gift for family and friends, it's good to be cautious about its source.
During the holiday season, it is easy to forget who made the presents we so eagerly give and receive. But in choosing a gift for family and friends, it’s good to be cautious about its source.
The International Labour Organization estimates that there are 21 million individuals around the world — including 15 million adults and 6 million children — who are victims of forced labor.
Studies by the U.S. Department of Labor show that, among manufactured goods, the highest concentrations of forced labor are found in the production of garments.
The Labor Department recently produced a toolkit to help U.S. businesses keep the products of child and forced labor out of their supply chains. The department also released a list for 2012 of goods and services (PDF, 1.8MB) it has determined to be produced by children or forced labor. Everyone can play a part in helping to eliminate the scourge of modern-day slavery.
