This classic film tells the story of a naïve and earnest young man appointed by his state’s governor to fill a vacant Senate seat.  Though dishonest officials try to corrupt him, he is determined to keep his integrity.  The film was directed by the legendary Frank Capra and stars Jimmy Stewart in the role that earned him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
