She has worked in the field of education for over 30 years as a teacher, a psychologist, a special education advocate and administrator is currently the Director of Intervention and Prevention Services for Fairfax County Public Schools. She is responsible for supervising services provided by psychologists and social workers to 180,000 students from preschool through grade 12, as well as overseeing 40 programs for students who have not been successful in traditional school settings.
