2009年3 月16日至20日是我校的艺术周，我们度过了一个非常美好的艺术周！孩子们为他们的艺术活动项目忙碌了一整周。Tai 老师为孩子们设计了丰富多彩的活动，让他们愉快地探索艺术。我们先迎来了上海当代艺术馆的来访，来自这所著名艺术馆的工作人员跟孩子们谈了谈中外当代艺术，孩子们对此都颇感兴趣并积极提问。各个学院还用一周的时间合作完成了一组壁画，每个班级都参与了壁画的完成。Tai 老师还安排了艺术寻宝活动，孩子们在校园里努力寻找线索—— 一件件的小件艺术品，然后去研究探求答案，从而获取学分。之后我们一起度过了精彩绝伦的艺术奥林匹克日。所有孩子都体验了九个不同的站点的活动并在各自的学院里作业。从泼溅画到插花，从书法到穿着艺术，活动形式多种多样。特别是两位老师奉献自己给孩子们做石膏艺术—— 一整天不同的班级轮流把他们裹在石膏绑带里，他们必须一动不动的躺很长时间。一位家长和孩子们一起画了油画，因此我们现在拥有了一副每个孩子都参与的有关学校的油画作品。

    我们感谢来自家校协力会的家长志愿者们牺牲个人的时间来协助学校的此次活动，同时也要感谢包括老师和行政人员在内的所有员工的热情投入和辛勤工作。最后向Eail Tai 老师表示最最衷心的感谢，感谢他的辛勤组织。精心的准备和有序的组织保证了孩子们的积极参与，丰富而有趣的活动让他们每个人都体验了多种多样的艺术形式，因此奥林匹克日进行的非常顺利。我校的老师、家长和学生在一起愉快合作、共同体验创作艺术的过程，为此我们感到十分骄傲。

    What a wonderful Arts Week we have had! Our children have been busy all week on projects to do with art. Mr.Tai set up many different activities for the children and they had a wonderful time exploring art. First we had a visit from Dong Ying from the Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art. Her presentation showed examples of contemporary art from China and abroad. The children were enthusiastic in their response to this presentation and asked many questions. All week there was a set of cooperative murals being painted by each House. Each class spent some time on the murals. Mr. Tai set-up an Art Treasure Hunt; children were looking all over the campus for the clues - small pieces of art that they then had to research for a house-point. Then we had the fabulous Arts Olympics...what a great day. The children moved around nine different activities and then worked in their Houses. Activities ranged from splatter painting to Ikebana, from calligraphy to fashion design. Special mention must be made of teachers who submitted to being cast - over the day different classes encased them in plaster bandages so they had to lay very still for a long time; also to our P3 teacher, who organised a calligraphy activity. Special guest contributors were artist, designer and P2 parent, who did an oil painting with the children so we now have an oil painting of the school to which every child contributed; A floral designer and P1 parent, who coached the children in producing the floral displays on show in the Grey Building; Editor of Z-vita who encouraged the children in the design and making of their fashion collections.

    Thank you also to the many parent representatives from FOYKPSA who gave willingly of their time and assisted in the activities; also thank you to all our staff, both teachers and Admin who all participated so enthusiastically. Lastly a huge THANK YOU to Mr. Tai for organising the day. The activities were so diverse and interesting that all our children got to experience many different forms of art. The day was extremely well organised and ran very smoothly ensuring that the children were actively involved throughout the entire day. I am very proud that our teachers, parents and students could come together to experience the process of making art and work so well together on so many projects.
