2018年4月3日，河南许昌春秋园林广场内，数十株碧桃花迎春绽放，满树的红花与远处的春秋楼景区相映成趣，引得众多市民在春日美景中锻炼身体、赏花休闲。

碧桃是桃的一个变种，为蔷薇科李属。习惯上将属于观赏桃花类的半重瓣及重瓣品种统称为碧桃。碧桃的花期为3月至4月，较梅花花期长，花朵丰腴，色彩鲜艳丰富，花型多。碧桃开花时色彩鲜艳漂亮，具有很高的观赏价值。

东风吹开碧桃花。园林工作人员提醒，目前正是碧桃的盛花期，花期约为15天左右，市民赏花需抓紧时间。
