Nepal is one of the wonderful trekking destinations in the
world and Pokhara is a perfect gathering piont to trek around the
Himalayas for most of tourists. There are a lot trekking routes
depending on the overall time and trekking levels such as
EBC/Everest Base Camp, ABC/Annapurna Base Camp, MBC/Machhapuchre
Base Camp and so on.
Trekking is what I expected the most to experience in Nepal. I
finally selected the trekking route of the ABC in 4 or 5 days by
myself after I consulted some local travel agencies.
ABC is a cycle trekking route. Firstly, I took the bus to Nayapul, where tourists usually start to trek.

Most trekkers would stay at Ulleri village for their first night after 6 hours' tough trekking.

The owner of the guest house, where I stayed, was friendly and offered us a lot help. I could watch young men were playing basketball and goldden snow mountains in the early morning under the sunshining of the sunrise from my room window.

Pool Hill is the best place to watch the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, which are the 7th and 10th highest peak respectively in the world, so tourists would stay at Ghorepani for their second night.

There are still thousands of steep steps from

I were so eager to climb to the summit even though I were exhausted after getting at the
The panoramic views of Annapurna was so stunning that it
deserved our arduous trekking.

Trekkers usually wake up early to climb to Poon Hill from Ghorepani to see the splendid sunrisein
the following morning.

It was the toughest trekking from
Ghorepani
to Tadapani, because most trails covered the slippy snow. it was so
dangerous that many trekkers would fall down many times. So many of
them would buy foot claws lest falling down and stay at Tadapani
for their third night.

But I continued to trek from

Ghandruk, where trekkers would stay for their fourth night, offers
very close view of Annapurnas. The mountain view is very beautiful
and the trail is relatively easy.
The village is situated on the network of terraces, where
barley and wheat are grown. Trekkers can choose to trek on feet or
take the bus to Nayapul, which is also the end of the ABC trekking
route.
Travel Tips
1. Time of the ABC trekking route requires at least 4 days and
3 nights.
2. Nayapul is both the starting and ending point of the
trekking, so you should take the bus to it from Pokhara, which
takes you aound 3 hours though it is only 40 kilimeters away.
3. Prepare 2-inch photos in advance to get the approve of
TIMS/Trkkers' Information Management System before you start your
trekking, which usually costs 40 US dollars for each trekker.
4. Keep the card with you druing the trekking period and
follow TIMS Regulartory Provision strictly.
