现在已近午夜，由于飞往杭州的航班延误，我和戴维斯部长一行还在北京首都机场等待登机。

今天我们渡过了漫长而充实的一天。对我来说最激动人心的部分便是与一批中英的杰出企业家会面，和他们在大使官邸圆桌会议分享在华商务活动经验。到场的中国公司中不乏响亮的名字：网上支付公司易宝，网络游戏界的空中网，还有电子产品公司爱国者，通过其对英超曼联队和F1赛车的赞助，爱国者的国际知名度正在迅速增长。

It’s now almost midnight and we are sitting in Beijing Airport waiting for our delayed plane to Hangzhou to take off.

It’s been a very long but eventful day today. One of the highlights for me was to meet a selection of entrepreneurs from both the UK and China for a roundtable discussion about doing business in China in the Ambassador’s Residence. Amongst the Chinese companies were some really big hitters – Internet e-payment company Yeepay, online gaming firm Kongzhong, and digital product company Aigo which is rapidly becoming a household name overseas thanks to its sponsorship of Manchester United and Formula One.
