Counter pose is very important in yoga; these counter postures to give opposite stretch or relaxation feelings to the body, so we must need to follow these counter poses. With these counter poses we can make our practice safe and injury free, because some Asans are difficult and focusing on some specific muscles, and then those muscles feel tired or fatigue, to give them relax feelings and give opposite stretch to make them comfortable and supple need counter poses. For example:
Forward Bends: gentle Baby Back Bends or twisting pose
Sarvangasana : Fish pose to relax the neck muscles
Halasana: fish pose or bhujangasana
