already discussed about how your feelings can influence your
practice, and how to handle those situations. In general, it is
healthy and natural to experience feelings while doing yoga,
especially during these challenging times. The physical body, mind,
and emotional body, vibrating within us, are all forms of a
singular Supreme
Consciousness.
之前的《 情感与瑜伽1》我们已经讨论过,个人感受是如何影响瑜伽练习的,以及如何应对这些问题。通常在练习瑜伽时,尤其当你遇到挑战时,你会经历那些感受,这很正常,健康的。身体,头脑和情感给予我们内在的震动,都是最高意识的表象。
Today I’m discussing the nature (or characters)
of human and yoga practice. Different natures or characters
influence yoga practice. For example, people with the tendency of
anger or ego would suffer sometimes in practice.
今天要谈的是本性(或个性)与练习的关联。不同性格也会影响瑜伽练习。例如,易怒或自负的人有时会在练习中吃苦头。
How?
为什么?
Let’s start from forward-bending. Psychologically and physically
speaking, one who can’t fulfill forward -bending normally is the
one that does not like to surrender or to submit. Some of them are
egoists. While what does forward -bending request? Go down in front
of everything and everyone, bend from the heart and leave all the
others behind, esp. the ego. Then how could egoists surrender
easily themselves with full-heart? Therefore, try to submit
yourself to the nature and the humanity in the next forward
-bending and feel the difference.
首先,从前屈开始。不管是生理还是心理,不能完成前屈的练习者往往有着倔强,不屈服的个性。有些人过于自负。然而前屈需要的是什么?臣服于一切事物和所有人,从你的内心,抛弃所有的杂念,尤其是你的自我意识。既如此,自负之人如何轻易地“拱手前屈”?下次前屈时,尝试让自己服从大自然和人性,感受其中的差别。
Now comes backward-bending. It depends on the flexibility of back.
Stiff back, partially the reason is physical difference among all;
partially it’s due to the emotional flexibility. People, not easy
to get on well or mix with others, have more backward-bending
difficulty. Be aware that
you are not alone, and try to drive the fear out of your heart.
Flexible nature leads to the good
backward-bending.
现在,讲讲后弯。它取决于背部的柔韧性。僵硬的背部,部分是个体的生理差异,另一部分的原因是情感灵活性。那些难以与他人相交或融入其它圈子的练习者在后弯时会遇到更多的困难。意识到你不是孤立的,赶走心中的胆怯。灵活的性格会带个你好的后弯。
Then turn to twisting asanas. Besides the physical limits on the
spinal column, the emotional control degrees the twist. For those
who can’t handle the emotions well it is difficult to master the
twist too. Try to overcome from the emotions. When exhale, breathe
out the negativity from your heart and then feel your
twisting.
接着,轮到扭转。除了脊柱的先天局限,情感控制能力决定了扭转体式的难易度。对那些不会控制感情的练习者来说,掌握扭转序列也是难事。试着克服情感障碍,当呼气时,排出内心的消极因素,再来体会你的扭转。
In the end, we talk of balance. Most people are not good at balance
poses, because there is too much tension from life and work, which
influence their concentration and balance. Balance requires mental
strength. Do not distract the mind and release the tension. You
will get achieve the balance of body and
mind.
最后,平衡。这是大部分练习者感觉困难的动作,因为工作和生活给了他们太多的压力,这些都影响着专注力和平衡感。平衡要求坚定的意志力。不要分散精力,释放压力。你会从身体和思想中取得平衡。
