Breath
is a life, a vital force, if no breath then no life, person will
die without breath, In yoga breath is very important.
This often happens with beginners or old practitioners during Yoga
class that they feel dizzy, or sometime can't catch the breath or
can't follow the same breathing pattern as Teacher's instructions.
Some teachers force to follow abdomen breathing (Fu shi hushi), I
strongly suggest to my students that don't panic, just go with your
natural breathing, in the beginning don't force yourself for
abdomen breathing, it will come slowly and automatically while time
passes, first just try to feel your breathing, and slowly and
deeply Inhale and Exhale, try to follow your Yogic movements with
breathing. If you can't catch your breath during Yoga movements
then slow down first catch your breath and then go further for
Yogic movements.
Breathing is the most
important factor during Yoga class, if you are just doing some
movement of your body, but not aware about your breathing, then
this is not a yoga practice, this is just like an exercise. There
is a big difference between Yoga and Exercise, so better don't mix
them. As a Yoga practitioner first listen to your own body, stretch
or bend your body according to your physical limitations, don't
force or panic, go smoothly with deep
breathing.

Just
Breathe deeply and feel the breath then practice Yoga and feel the
difference, aware about your breathing, feel the breath in and
breath out during your Yoga sessions.
