
Technique : This is the
cleansing of the esophagus and stomach. Start by drinking one and a
half to two liters(7-8 glasses normally) of saline warm water in a
Squat position. Salt added must not make the water very salty. The
taste should be similar to that of tear. Do not take breaks while
drinking water. Once you have gulped the water down, then stand up
and bend forward up to 90 angle. Insert the index and middle finger
into the mouth, where the throat begins. All the water will come
out in a forceful stream in one or two waves taking with it all
impurities, any old mucous or debris. Most of us initially will
require a series of three or more wavelike contractions to
eliminate water from the stomach. Vomiting is a natural and
intelligent reflex toward bad food, water, or foreign objects. It
is a life supporting instinct that unfortunately is
repressed.

Kunjal kriya helps to
understand one's eating habits and digestive system. Good eating
practices and good digestion will be established if there will be
nothing but water and slight mucous evacuated during the kriya. On
the other hand, if there is undigested food left over from the
previous night's dinner, the water thrown out may be acidic and
taste and smell bad. Even if this happens remember that the toxins
are being thrown out and over a period of time the stomach will be
cleansed completely.

Initially if
you are unable to throw up, then the salt water will go out of the
body in the form of diarrhea. So there is nothing to worry.

Benefits:
It helps in digestion by stimulating the digestion organs. When
practiced regularly, this helps in the release of flatulence and
gas from the stomach, a reduction bad breath that owes much of its
cause to the stomach and excessive acidity in it. Kunjal also helps
relieve several throat disorders such as coughs and a sore throat.
Besides the extensive flushing of the stomach, the strong gush of
water helps relieve congestion by a back-flush of the nasal
passages.

Precaution:
Not for people suffering from hernia, high blood pressure, heart
diseases or ulcers. Do not use cold water. Use clean well manicured
fingers. Do not thrust the fingers deep into the throat.

Note - which day you practice this
kriya that day eat light food, like fruits, porridge and some other
easy digesting stuff, beans etc. All kriyas Must be learn and
practiced under expert Teacher's guidance only.
