Sun Youtian (1936- ), contemporary poet, is a native of Xiaoxian, Anhui Province. He has a title of Grade One Writer of Literary Creation, and entitled to the special subsidy granted by the State Council. He is a member of China Writers Association, council member of Jiangsu Writers Association, council member of the Society of Poetry, advisor to “Yangtze Poem Magazine”. His major works are: poem collections— “Short Songs of Coal Mines”, “Spring Comes Early in the Coal Town”, “Song of Carbon”, “Flowers and Rain on the South of Yangtze”, “Selected Lyrics on Life in the Mines by Sun Youtian”, Long poems “Bloody Sentry Post on the Mud”, Birds Singing on the Mines”, etc.
