Wu huanzhang , whose ancestral home is Wuhan, was bom in Tianjin in 1935. He graduated from Chinese Department of Fudan University in 1959 and has been the teacher of Fudan University for years. Then he transferred to Shanghai University on iin vitation in 1985 and was the vice dean of faculty of arts.Now he is a professor in Shanghai Uiversity.He has researched the contemporary and modem literature for many years.He is mainly engaged in the comment on the poetry and prose and also writes them. He has published 4 comment collections, 2 poetry collections and I prose collection. He has compiled 30 literary works. His theory researches and literary creations won the prize many times in shanghai and even all over the country. His biography brief has been collected into many famous and large dictionaries home and abroad. At present he is a member of China Writeers’ Association and a syndic of china Poetry Academy and some other positions of some nationwide learned societies.
