屠岸，江苏常州人，1923年生，诗人，翻译家。早年就读於上海交通大学。曾任人民文学出版社总编辑，现为中国作家协会全国委员会名誉委员，中国诗歌学会副会长。
著作有：《萱荫阁诗钞》、《屠岸十四行诗》、《哑歌人的自白—— 屠岸诗选》、《诗爱者的自白——屠岸的散文和散文诗》、《深秋有如初春——屠岸诗选》、《倾听人类灵魂的声音》（评论、随笔）等。
译著有：惠特曼诗集《鼓声》，《莎士比亚十四行诗集》，斯蒂文森儿童诗集《一个孩子的诗园》（与方谷绣合译），《英美著名儿童诗一百首》，《英美儿童诗精品选》（三种），布朗宁的儿童诗《哈默林的花衣吹笛人》，克里斯蒂娜·罗塞蒂的长诗《小妖精集市》，莎士比亚历史剧《约翰王》，莎士比亚叙事诗《鲁克丽斯失贞记》（与屠笛合译），《济慈诗选》，《英国诗选》等。《济慈诗选》译本获第二届鲁迅文学奖文学翻译彩虹奖（2001年）。
Tu An, a native from Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, was born in 1923. He studied in Jiaotong University of Shanghai as a youngster. He was Chief Editor of People’s Literature Publishing House, Beijing. Now he is the Honorable Member of The All-China Committee of The Writers’ Association of China and Vice-President of The Poetry Institute of China.
Tu An’s publications include: Daylily Shade Pavilion Poems, Tu An’s Sonnets, Confessions of A Damb Singer — Selected Poems by Tu An, Confessions of A Poetry Lover — Tu An’s Prose Pieces and Prose Poems, Late Autumn’s Like Early Spring— Selected Poems by Tu An, etc.
Tu An’s translations include: Drumtaps (Whitman’s Poems), Shakespeare’s Sonnets, R.L.Stevenson’s A Child’s Garden of Verses (co-translator Fang Guxia), loo Great English and American Poems for Children, Selections from English and American Excellent Poems for Children (3 volumes), R.Browning’s The Pied Piper of Hamelin, C.G.Rossetti’s Goblin Market, Shakespeare’s history King John, Shakespeare’s narrative poem The Rape of Lucrece (co-translator Tu Di), Selected Poems by John Keats, An Anthology of British Poetry, etc. The Chinese translation of Selected Poems by John Keats won The Second Lu Xun Literature Prize— Rainbow Prize for literary translations (2001).
