6月1日，教育与文化事务局开办了一个专为J-1签证交流访问者项目设立的网站。该网站的网址是http://j1visa.state.gov。

国务院的J-1交流访问者项目是一个基于工作与学习的交流项目，旨在进一步增进美国和其他国家人民之间的相互了解。

—  每年前来美国的J-1签证交流访问者多达35万以上，其中包括中学生、大学生、医生、研究员和暑期工作旅行者。J-1交流访问者项目参与者获得了技能和知识，以及对美国和美国人民的更好了解，之后回国分享他们的经历。

—  国务院与1400家私营机构赞助者联手管理J-1签证交流访问者项目。

—  新网站令潜在访问者、项目赞助者以及主办家庭能更容易地找到他们所需要的信息,进而了解更多不同类型的J-1交流访问者项目以及如何申请的信息。这个网站主要介绍各个类型的交流访问者项目，为潜在参与者提供有关参加交流访问者项目经验的视频,并提供有关项目情况。网站按在低频带或高频带的环境中都可良好运行而设计。

On June 1, the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs launched a new website dedicated to the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program.  The new website can be found at http://j1visa.state.gov.

The Department of State’s J-1 Exchange Visitor Program is a work and study based exchange program created to further mutual understanding between the people of the United States and people of other countries.

-          More than 350,000 J-1 visa visitors come to the United States each year, including high school and university students, physicians, researchers and summer work travelers.   J-1 Exchange Visitor Program participants gain skills and knowledge, as well as a better understanding of the United States and its people, then return home to share their experiences.

-          The State Department works with 1,400 private sector sponsors to administer the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program. 

-          The new website will make it easier for potential visitors, as well as program sponsors and host families, to find the information they need to learn more about the various J-1 Exchange Visitor programs and how to apply. The site features descriptions of each of the Exchange Visitor program categories, and provides video testimonials of the Exchange Visitor Program experience to potential participants; providing them program insight. The site is designed to perform well in either low or high bandwidth environments.
