虽然我的职业生涯是从admin开始的，而且admin至今也仍是自己分管的众多部门中的一个，但真是很久没有细致地去过问了，除非公司有大型活动需要筹备。但社交圈的好多朋友，却因为“惯性”，经常性地会以很多admin的问题来“骚扰”我，预订性价比高的或有协议价的宾馆啊、有特色又适合他们Budget的餐馆啊、新鲜好玩的地方可以推荐的啊，诸如此类不等。进入这个秋季之后，也许是因为世博，也许是因为这个季节本身就是商务活动的高峰期，竟接二连三地被很多朋友以同一个问题“骚扰”，“嗨，如何给老外制定一个上海一日游的行程”。而下周，本公司自己的董事会也将在上海召开，其中有新的外方董事携夫人乘坐专机提前两天抵沪。作为董秘，规划和制定这两天详细的日程安排，成了我义不容辞的责任，这其中自然就包括了上海一日游。在我和我的那些lady们讨论的过程中，我发现目前很多正在从事着admin工作的姑娘们，她们其实并不知道怎样去推介和展示自己的城市。而这样的推介和展示中，始终必需考虑到两个角度，第一是换位思考，了解老外眼里可能的兴趣点；第二，是你自己的意愿，你愿意show怎样的上海、怎样的家乡给那些远方的朋友，让他们留下最美好的第一印象。于是，当我昨天将有关行程安排的e-mail发出之后，我就在想，也许我真的可以拿它来做一次分享的。而最近实在是太忙，好长时间都没有更新博文了，这次我是否可以偷懒一次，将它和一些小点评一起转贴在这儿？

Itinerary for One Day Trip of Shanghai

9:30 : pick up hotel

Drive to Xintiandi. After visiting quickly this historical but now very trendy and luxury place; we will go by foot for a walk of about one and a half hour, from Xintiandi to old city of Shanghai (Yu Yuan) through the antics market and the birds and locust markets. This walk and all the connected visits will give you a good insight of the diverse faces of Shanghai which is at the same time ultra modern, luxurious but also very typical and traditional.

(All the 4 places are worth of interest for foreign eyes and very ‘photogenic’.)

12:00-13:00 Lunch

Upon arrival in the old city, we will go for a lunch of Chinese cuisine. This time we choose Luo Bo Lang as our recommendation, which is a very famous restaurant with high good shanghainese cuisine on the Zig Zag bridge.

13:00-15:30 Old City and Yu Yuan Garden

Wander in the old city, you will discover the beautiful architecture of houses dating hundreds year ago, you can go through the not renovated old lanes and street where local people still live. If you expect a leisure tour, we can select one of the traditional tea houses to enjoy a tea tasting. And you also will have many opportunities of shopping (Souvenir, Chinese styling). If you are interesting in a classical Chinese garden, there is still an option upon to your opinion. We can bring you to Yu Yuan Garden, as my understanding, it is the most beautiful one and only kind in Shanghai. I will try to introduce and explain the Garden including architecture and historical legend.

15:30-18:00 French Concession

Transfer to French Concession. We can have a walk and shopping in Taikang Road . Many old lanes and houses now are turned into art galleries and shops. We can enjoy exciting experience for a discovery of a few historical places of interest that give an idea of the life 100 years ago. Some recommended spots are listed as below:

The museum of Arts and Crafts  located in a very nice not too renovated old colonial house.

The Okura Garden Hotel   Former Club house of the French concession

The Mansion Hotel,   Former private house of Du Yue Sheng.

18:00-20:30 Dinner, Bund

Move to the Bund. It is referred to the “museum of buildings” and seemed as a symbol of the city. To take a promenade along the stately street, old colonial-era buildings alongside Huangpu River , such as Big Ching of the Customer House, HSBC Building, will jump into your eyes gradually . It will bring your memory back to the past generation, the Financial Center of the Far East. Opposite the Huangpu River, modern skyscrapers look like an attractive painting. It always makes people unbelievable and amazing because of the strong contrast between modern life and the historical footprint.  

Dinner

For dinner venue, if you prefer western styling, we can choose M on the Bund, if want to try Chinese food, Family Li, which is located at Huangpu Park will be a good option.
