<神！神！>

人们在泡水，在沙滩上装模作样

一切都铅灰，机器人的四肢，机器胸脯

机器声音，连缤纷的阳伞都机器。

只有一女子，独自羞答答在龙头下冲洗

而众神隐约出现如百合花，

如睡莲。

People were bathing, and posturing themselves on the beach

and all was dreary, great robot limbs, robot breasts

robot voices, robot even the gay umbrellas.

But a woman, shy and alone, was washing herself under a tap

and the glimmer of the presence of the gods was like lilies,

and like water-lilies.

[简析] 沙滩上挤满了泡水晒太阳的人群，装模作样地显露他们的肢体、胸脯及声音，象机器人一般可厌，让诗人看得一肚子闷气。突然一转身，看到一个女子独自羞答答在水龙头底下冲洗，顿时有如看到了在莲花丛中隐约出现的神仙。
