　　王士稹（1634-1711）,字贻上，号阮亭，又号渔洋山人，清代诗人。他写诗学习王维、孟浩然，善于描写富有画意的自然风光，语言清新，情思悠远，耐人寻味。

　　①真州——现在的江苏省仪征县，紧靠长江北岸。
　　②江干——江边。
　　③钓人——渔人。
　　④柳陌——两边长满柳树的道路。
　　⑤红树——枫树，树叶经霜变红。
　　⑥鲈鱼——一种淡水鱼，口在鳞细，味道鲜美，长江下游出产最多。

　　大江北岸的真州，沿江居民多以打鱼为生。这一带地方，无论绿柳掩映的小路旁，还是长满菱藕的水塘边，那些稀稀落落的茅舍里，几乎全是住的渔家，这只看各家门前晒着的渔网，便一眼可知了。

　　对于这里的人们来说，最美好的是在晚秋，这是一年一度鲈鱼上市的时节。每到黄昏风住以后，满载而归的渔船纷纷靠岸，就地摆摊出售。整筐整篓的鲈鱼，肥美鲜活，欢蹦乱跳。叫卖的，选购的，没事儿看热闹的，熙来攘往，喜气洋洋，更有那满堤经霜的枫树，面对夕阳，娇艳如火，映红人们的脸，映红江边的天，把半江秋水也染得醉醺醺的了。

　　“好是日斜风定后，半江红树卖鲈鱼”，这是最被人们称道的名句。试想，那深秋傍晚江边鱼市的风光，如果有用彩色画笔描绘出来，将是一幅多么优美迷人、富有趣的图画啊。事实上，诗人自己就见过不少画家描绘这首诗的意境。

  Wang Shizhen(1643-1711)was a leader of the literary cir cles in the early Qing Dynasty.In his own poetic works,he benefited a great deal from Wang Wei and Meng Haoren,pastoral poets of the Tang Dynasty.He was very skillful at introducing scenic views into his picturesque verses n a seven-syllabled quatrain form.His poems are fresh in style and with rich feelings and profound implications.

  This poem was written in Zhenzhou,present Yizheng County of Jingsu Province,which is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze River.

  In his verses,Wang described,in a refined expression,the life of local fishermen.He said,most local residents along the north shore of the river made fishing for a living.They lived in thatched houses scattered by the roadside under green trees or by lotus ponds.They would be readily recognizable just by looking at the fishnets hung at the entrance of their houses.For local fishermen,late Autumn was the best season for perch.Each evening when the wind subsided,boats fully loaded with perch returned and vigorous fish marketing began.What a pleasant scene bustling with noise and excitement!Along the bank,the maple leaves had turned red,fishermen's faces were red with excite ment ,and even the Autumn river had become red as if dyed by the red rays of the setting sun.Oh,the whole place was intoxicated with joy and excitement.

  His lines about the fishing season and market scene have become so well-known that quite a few painters actually translat ed his poetic descriptions into fine paintings.
