Kumeu River Coddington Chardonnay 2007

New Zealand雖靠近Australia ，但NZ葡萄酒好像只是配角般，市場上感覺只需要有AU就無需NZ (其實兩國家還是有不同風格特色)。儘管市場觀如此，NZ還是有不少出色酒莊如Villa Maria 與 Cloudy Bay是大家比較熟悉的。而Kumeu River相當不簡單，從WS一篇文章「New Zealand Best?」裡面可以看出對此酒莊的讚譽與欣賞(公道的價格以及優質的表現)。WS這篇文章圍繞的都是他最出色的品種Chardonnay，同時，Kumeu River的Single Vineyard也只有Chardonnay，可說Chardonnay是Kumeu River最引以為傲的產品。

The sophomore 2007 Coddington Chardonnay is simply wonderful. Brilliantly defined on the nose, even more mineralite than the impressive 2006, it is a bouquet to make any self-aggrandizing Burgundy Grand Cru tremble at the knees! The palate has exquisite balance, vibrant acidity, quite luscious with touches of clear honey, apricot and white peach. Great depth and length, Michael Brajkovich MW has excelled and the wine will only get better with future vintages.  95 points, Wine Advocate, 2009

Rich and bold nose with underlying complexity and finesse. Good use of oak. Gently creamy. Fresh, lovely, clean palate. Good restraint and complexity. This is very well made with excellent balance and length. From 2010. Five Stars.  Score: 19  Decanter, 2010

開瓶~1.5小時，木桶、碳烤、堅果與些許柑橘、礦物香，香氣直接且愉悅，M body，口中香不錯，酸度大且主導口感讓酒體不會因不低的酒精而感到厚重，一直有新鮮感，finish較一般。

2小時，柑橘酸性水果為主，開始走下坡，但口中酸度依舊高。

物超所值，可持久約1.5小時左右，雖無變化但表現良好就已足夠。

Craggy Range Sophia 2007

這次一次介紹兩個優質NZ酒莊，Craggy Range在1997年成立，雖相當年輕卻能在近年獲得國際市場的喜愛以及知名媒體的讚賞。此次品嚐的是 Craggy Range Sophia 2007 (Right Bank Bordeaux-blend)，不需要多介紹，買來喝就知道(上海有得買)。另一款Le Sol (100% Shiraz)也是此酒莊的出色酒款。

官網雖寫 : The wines of Craggy Range reflect not only the character of the vineyard and the maker, but also the unique weather and cultural aspects of every vintage. No two vintages are the same – but while some are exceptional, others simply are not. 但此次品嚐沒有感受到太多風土特質，或許應該再給它一次機會，不過，整體而言是很不錯的。

“The 2007 Sophia, a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc has a deep blackberry, cassis, plum, kirsch and violet tinged nose – in fact it is difficult to discern the Cabernet Franc! The palate is full-bodied and beautifully balanced, good acidity, firm tannins and great weight and yet there is also a sense of weightlessness that marks this out as a stunning wine with a persistent tannic finish. This will need 5-6 years ageing at least. Superb. Craggy Range continue to press forward with their ambitious plans and are rapidly becoming one of the most familiar New Zealand producers both at an entry-level, having successfully penetrated the competitive supermarket shelves in the UK, but also winning plaudits for their array of flagship bottlings such as Le Sol, Sophia and The Quarry. I concentrated on new releases but re-tasted some of the Pinot Noirs that I felt have improved significantly.” 95 Points, Wine Advocate, 2009

開瓶時，果醬、紫羅蘭與糖果等中度香氣，M-F body，口感濃郁、新鮮且刺激，口中有蜜餞與酒精氣息，finsih一般。

15分，比剛開瓶多一層薄荷香，其他部分相同。

30分~2小時，香氣以野艷花香為主夾帶薄荷與糖果香氣，令人迷戀且感覺甜美，其他部分相同。

表現很現代、新世界風格，可再陳年但預期變化不會大，物有所值。
