The Swedish Chamber of Commerce invites you and your colleagues to a Seminar on

"Multicultural Understanding and Efficiency"

This seminar will identify some of the cross-cultural misunderstandings that can arise in the work place. As more foreigners are coming to China to catch the wave of the economic boom, many have confronted difficulties in working efficiently and effectively due to cultural differences.

This has no doubt affected performances and led to frustrations amongst those who have not adapted to this different environment. In the seminar, western and Chinese thinking differences will be explained, as well as finding ways to adapt, manage and persevere in problematic multicultural work environment.

Through personal work experience in Europe, America, and China, as well as his understanding of how both cultures behave, Mr. Lo will tackle and analyse some problem areas that one might encounter and finding solutions for change.

Some of the topics discussed will include hierarchy and organization, local interpretation of “soft skills”, personal identification and responsibility, and specific Chinese nuances such as Guanxi and relationship.
