8 Haiku by Tianxin CAI

我在五色的人海里

漫游，像是林间小溪中

飘零的一片草叶

I wander the colourful sea of

human being, like a leaf

drifting in a forest stream

我用我的臂膀

挽住黑暗的肩头

把它摁倒在地

I put my arm round

the shoulder of darkness

wrestle it to the ground

她长长的手臂彻夜

在我的额上寻找

一片遥远的海盐之海

All night her long arms

hover over my forhead

a distant sea of black salt

鼓点在浪的冠顶上跳跃

一个玻璃的夏天的回忆

我失落于我自身之中

Rhythm swims from crest to crest

a memory from the glass summer

I draw into myself

她的头颅是花蕊

修长的大腿如花茎

伸向岌岌可危的大地

Her body is a flower

her slender thighs like floral axes

extend into the dangerous earth

天空曾经湛蓝

如今却被水仙和

大象的鼻子挤占

The sky once deep blue

is now ocupied by narcissus

and the trunks of elephants

我们下着跳棋

正当湿婆端坐在

一座寺庙里头

We play chinese checkers

while Shiva sits upright

inside the temple

孟加拉湾起风了

一撮黝黑的头发

被夏奈的海浪卷起

A breeze over the Bay of Bengal

a lock of dark hair

is lifted by the waves of Chennai
