【Genesis 8:3—5 李杜圣经札记】

3 水从地上渐退。过了一百五十天，水就渐消。 

4 七月十七日，方舟停在亚拉腊山上。 

5 水又渐消，到十月初一日，山顶都现出来了。 

ERV:

3 The water that covered the earth began to go down. After 150 days the water was low enough that the boat touched land again.

4 The boat stopped on one of the mountains of Ararat. This was the 17th day of the seventh month. 

5 The water continued to go down, and by the first day of the tenth month, the tops of the mountains were above the water.

NIV:

3 The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down, 

4 and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. 

5 The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible. 

点评：

圣经的叙事，经常有具体时间和地点，具备了历史叙述的要素。Ararat山脉，在现今的土耳其附近。

从语言角度看，中文和合本与NIV版的语意几乎完全对应，可以推想是忠实原文的，属于直译。ERV的自由发挥程度较大，意译。

读英译《圣经》，非基督徒可以读意译的版本，如ERV等; 有些采取直译的版本，忠实原文，比如King James Version, 以及NASB(New American Standard Bible)等，适合研究教义的学习者。

NIV版本比较折衷，意译，又尽量接近原文，所以在世界上使用广泛。
