Arrogance of The Authority (权力的傲慢)

      A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texasand talked with an old rancher.    
      一位美国联邦缉毒总署的官员停在德州的一个牧场和年迈的牧场主人说话。
      He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs."  
      他告诉这个牧场主人：“我要检查你的牧场，看看有没有非法种植的毒品。”
      The rancher said, "Okay, but don't go in that field over there..." and he pointed the location.  
      牧场主人说：“好的！不过不要去牧场的那边......”他的手指向那个地方。 
      The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, "Mister, I have the authority of Federal Government with me!"  
      这位官员大声的说：“先生！我有联邦政府的授权！” 
      Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.  
      然从他的后口袋中掏出他的徽章，骄傲的展现给老人看。 
"See this badge! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish... on any land!!"    
“看到这个徽章没？这个徽章代表着，我可以到任何我想要到的地方去……任何的土地上。” 
"No questions asked and answers given!! Have I made myself clear?!"
“不得有任何疑问或拒绝！！我说的够清楚了吗？！” 
      The rancher nodded politely, apologized and went about his chores.  
      这主人礼貌的点点头，道歉，然后走开干自己的活去了。 
      A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull...  
隔没多久，这个老牧人听到大声的惨叫，抬头看去，只见这位官员正被这个牧场的一头公牛追赶，正没命的奔逃着…… 
      With every step, the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety.  The officer was clearly terrified.

      公牛愈追愈近，眼看牛角就要顶到这位官员！官员显然是吓坏了。 
      He ranger threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs...
      老牧人丢下他的工具，跑到栅栏边，使出他吃奶的力气大叫道…… 
"Your badge, show him your badge...!"  
“你的徽章，给它看你的徽章!!!......”
