Dear
I’m a sincere listener of your program—English evening on China Business Radio at twenty one o’clock every evening. I have kept on listening this program regularly for a long time. During the program time, I enjoy a wonderful language journey, where I can improve my listening comprehension and obtain so much knowledge about English language and western culture. In a word, I benefit much from your program. I admire that you are able to speak so fluent oral English and have rapid reaction to English.
But my annoying question is right about the reaction to English. As a Chinese person, Chinese is my native language, but when we speak or listen to English language, in my mind, I still use Chinese as the media, that is to say, when listening to English, I always translate it into Chinese in my heart so as to understand what it means. This greatly influences my listening skill, and usually before I catch a sentence, the next one begins. As a result, I can hardly grasp all the details of the topic that you discuss in the program. Did you meet the same problem like that? And how can I overcome the fatal fault? I’m looking forward to your suggestion and solution.
