afford

    afford 不是付出，而是暗示“刚刚开始能”“勉强能承受”的感觉。所以afford天生就有一种语气在里面，

I can afford that price. 意思是说,我刚刚好付得起,但是钱也是不宽裕啦.

但和pay不同的是,你可以afford 的不仅仅是价格，还可以是时间，生命，机会等等有价值的东西。
