十年前的今天，《I Saw Her Standing There》坐到了美国排行榜的冠军位置，而且一坐就是7周。

这首歌既是他们首张专辑《Please Please Me》的开场曲，也是在美国Capitol唱片公司发行单曲《I Want to Hold Your Hand》的B-Side歌曲，也被誉为英国摇滚乐历史上第三支堪称经典的作品（前两个分别是有英国猫王之称的Cliff Richard的《Move It》和英国50年代著名歌手Johnny Kidd的《Shakin' All Over》）。

它最出名的地方不在于歌词表达的内容，而是歌曲一开始Paul McCartney喊出的“one-two-three-faah!”，这不仅标志着这首歌的开始和这张专辑的开始，也标志着以Beatles为代表的不列颠入侵潮流的开始，甚至是这个世界迄今为止最伟大的摇滚神话的开始。也是因为这个，《I Saw Her Standing There》成了他们早年大部分巡演时的开场曲。

关于它的创作地点，有两种说法，一个是McCartney位于Forthlin Road的家中，另一个是德国汉堡。但关于它的创作过程，就没有这么多历史疑义了。这首歌的创意是McCartney最先提出来的，具体到落实上，则是由他和Lennon共同完成的雏形创作。当时McCartney在歌词开头写的是“She was just seventeen / She'd never been a beauty queen”，但后来落实这首歌的时候，他们俩都觉得第二句写得不好，太直白了，于是就改成了“You know what I mean”，这种写法不那么直白，但却能唤起别人的想象力，并且带有一点儿暗示色彩。

当时他们受到一首叫做《Young Blood》的作品影响，这是他们当年在Cavern Club演出时经常翻唱的一首歌。它第一句歌词是“I saw her standing on the corner”，而Bealtes在副歌部分唱的则是“I Saw Her Standing There”。其实当时他们考虑到这首歌出来之后会有人说他们抄袭，于是将歌曲最初的名字定为《Seventeen》，但后来还是如我们现在看到的这样，改成了《I Saw Her Standing There》。

有人曾对这两首歌作了如下比较，以次证明两首作品在意境上有许多雷同之处：

至于其中的音乐，除了George Harrison的吉他之外，其他地方也都有明显的模仿色彩，其中最为典型的就是McCartney贝斯演奏，模仿了Chuck Berry在1961年的那首《I'm Talking About You》。

翻唱信息：

1974年，John Lennon和Elton John曾在一次现场演出时翻唱过这首歌。

The Who在拍摄描述他们乐队的电影《The Kids Are Alright》期间，曾经翻唱过这首歌，鼓手Keith Moon负责演唱。可惜的是这首歌并没有在电影和后来出版的原声当中出现，只是通过一些bootleg于坊间流传。

1987年，Tiffany在她的首张同名专辑中翻唱过这首歌。

Paul McCartney也在他许多唱片中收录过这首歌的现场版本，其中包括1990年的《Tripping the Live Fantastic》、2002年的《Back in the U.S.》和2003年的《Back in the World》。
