①sandwich名词，“三明治，夹心面包片”。“三明治”最早是一个人名，Earl of Sandwich三明治伯爵（1718～1792），他酷爱赌博，且长时间不停。常常是边赌博边吃饭，为了吃起来方便，他叫他的仆人把面包切成片，中间夹上一些火腿和其他佐料，味道挺不错。后来，

人们不断效仿这种吃饭，慢慢地sandwich便成了这种食品的名字。

  ②also副词，“也”，用在谓语动词之前，有时也出现在句尾或句首。如：

    I also went.我也去了。

    He came also.他也来了。

    He is wrong，and you also.他错了，你也错了。

  ▲also还可以作连词，“（口语）还”，如：

    He gave me this book，also some candy to eat on the way home.

    他给了我这本书，还给了我一些回家路上吃的糖果。

    【辨析】also,too,either

    都表示“也”，但用法有所不同，also通常用于正式场合，多用于肯定句，一般放在谓语动词之前。too语气较轻，通常用于口语，但只能用于肯定句。either是too的反义词，它只用于否定句。试比较：

    You can speak English.1 can also（speak English）.

    你会说英语，我也会（说英语）。

    You can speak English.1 can speak, too.

    你会说英语，我也会。

    You can't speak English.I can't speak, either.

    你不会说英语，我也不会。

【注】also也可以用于否定句，但必须置于否定词之前，不能在否定词之前，不能在否定词之后或句尾。如：

I also can’t speak English.我也不会说英语。

①take turns轮换，替换，此处的turn是名词“轮流；轮班”。如；

    in turn依次，It's one's turn to do sth.轮到某人做某事

    It's your turn to clean the classroom.轮到你打扫教室了。

▲turn一般作动词，“转；扭转”。如：

  The earth turns round the sun.地球绕着太阳转。

  Turn to the right.向右转。

  Left（Right）turn!（口令）向左（右）转！
