Squarepants has also held the number-one spot on kid’s
television in the United States for more than five
years. It is MTV Network’s most widely
distributed show, syndicated to 171 countries and translated into

Nickelodeon’s top animated series, will he held in Hong Kong,
December 3rd; Guangzhou, December 4th; Shanghai, December 5th; and

exciting live show about dreams, friendship and soaring to new
heights, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS LIVE! THE SPONGE WHO COULD
FLY!
Based on the television episode, “The
Lost Episode/The Sponge Who Could Fly,” the live stage production
features a magical set that transports the audience to SpongeBob’s
underwater world. Perfect for all ages, this is a
story of courage and coming of age, intertwined with humor, which
tells the tale of SpongeBob’s desire to “fly” with the jellyfish
of Jellyfish Fields and his persistence in achieving his
dream.
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS
LIVE! THE SPONGE WHO COULD FLY! features
a book written by Steven Banks, a man no stranger to SpongeBob’s
seafaring world. He is head writer and story
editor of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, co-producer
of the series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius
and the author of over 20 children’s books. The
musical also features original songs and adaptations from
Emmy-nominated composer/lyricist Eban Schletter.
Directed by famed director of Dora the
Explorer and Blues CluesLive Gip Hoppe, the
musical features choreography by Jenn Rapp, who is also serving as
associate director; the scenic design is by Tony Award winner David
Gallo; the costume design is by Broadway costume designer Mirena
Rada; the lighting design is by Drama Desk winner Richard G. Jones;
the sound design is by Christopher Cronin; the puppet design is by
Michael Curry who has worked with Cirque du Soleil and the
Metropolitan Opera; and the flying sequence is designed by Paul
Rubin.

starring Tony Award winner Lea Salonga. BAE’s
founders produce YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, the new Mel Brooks musical,
THE PRODUCERS, winner of 12 Tony Awards, more than any other
Broadway show in history; HAIRSPRAY, winner of eight Tony Awards,
including Best Musical; STOMP, the international sensation
performing in New York for over 13 years; COOKIN’ which has toured
over 40 countries and many other award winning shows in London, on
Broadway, on tour in the US and UK, and in Las
Vegas. BAE co-producers on their Asian touring
productions include The Really Useful Group, Nickelodeon
Theatricals, Troika Entertainment, Networks Productions and the
Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center.
