老子如是说

合抱之木，生于毫末；九层之台，起于累土；千里之行，始于足下。

A huge tree which fills one's arms grows from a small heap of earth; a high terrace which has nine storeys rises from a small heap of earth; a journey of a thousand li begins with the first step.

知足者富，强行者有志。不失其所者久，死而不亡者寿。

He who is content is rich; he who acts with persistence has will; he who does not lose his roots will endure; he who dies physically but preserves the Tao will enjoy a long life.
