教学背景分析

 

教材分析

 

本单元重点学习如何询问和回答人们日常出行的方式,这个话题与学生的日常生活紧密联系。主情景图让学生在学习新知识之前对单元话题有初步认识。A部分主要学习日常出行方式,呈现基础知识,在学习单词过程中自然地将教学重点引导语言运用上。B部分主要介绍常用的交通规则、交通标志以及各地学生上学的方式。C部分主要是综合前两部分所学知识,以故事的形式复习知识,同时介绍中西文化差异。而Unit 2 Part B Let’s learn 生词量较少,语法知识相对简单主要是帮助学生了解交通信号灯及交通规则,安全文明地过马路。

学情分析

六年级学生已经有一定的英语基础和词汇量,并且此部主要学习常用的交通规则、交通标志,这些刚好于我们日常生活紧密相关,学生也比较熟悉,且生词较少,学生会比较容易掌握。在教学中,我们可以充分利用旧知识为新知识的教学服务,尽可能多地创设情景,为学生提供运用语言的能力。

1.语言知识目标:

词汇:学习并掌握单词及词汇:slow, slow down, stop, wait, must, traffic lights.

句型:掌握句型 1. Stop and wait at a red light

2. Slow down and stop at a yellow light.

3. Go at a green light.

   语法:了解祈使句。

2.语言技能目标:

能够听、说、读、写单词和词组:stop, wait, slow down, go.及重点句型Stop and wait at a red light. Slow down and stop at a yellow light. Go at a green light.

3.情感态度目标:

通过本课学习,让学生更加明的遵守交通规则的重要性,做一个文明出行的学生。

4.学习策略目标:

  通过小组合作,以学生为主体,学生能掌握本能灵活运用交通规则,并懂得文明出行的理念。

5.文化意识目标:

了解西方国家的出行方式及交通规则,并文明遵守。

Step 1 warming-up and lead in (5 minutes)

1.Greetings.(T—teacherSstudent)

T: Hello ! Boys and girls. How are you?

Ss: I’m fine. Thank you! And you?

T: I’m fine too. Thank you! What’s the weather like today?

Ss: It’s sunny. Today we are going to have a PK, Boys PK Girls. Are you ready? Fighting.

2Free talk:

T: How do you come to school?

S1I usually come to school on foot/by bus

S2I sometimes come to school by bike/by car.

S3: Sometimes I come by subway

T:Wow! You come to school by different ways. So let’s play a game. It’s about different ways. Do you like playing games?

SsYes

T: Ok! Let’s go.

3.play a game : pick apples

T: But please pay attention to the rules: If you see the words or phrases, Please stand up as quickly as possible and say it out aloud. Clear?

Ss: Yes.

T: OK. Go.

S1: By plane.   S2: By train.   S3: On foot……

T: Wow! You did a good job. Everyone gets five points. As we all know. By car, by bus, by subway, on foot … These are ways to go to school. So today we are going to learn U3 Ways to go to school.

通过Greetingfree talk创设了一个轻松愉快的情境,消除了学生的紧张情绪同时复习了所学过来校方式的句型,为下一个环节play a game铺垫。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

通过游戏复习所学过的交通方式的词组by ship, by car, by bus, by bike, by taxi, by plane, by subway, by train……为引出课题作准备,同时增强了兴味性。

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2   Presentation (10 minutes)

1.Setting up the scene and tasks: In order to build a civilized city. The traffic police of Liuzhou needs some good students to help them.

T: If you want to be good students, you must finish these tasks. Task 1--- Know the traffic lights.Are you ready?

Ss:Yes.

T:Go. Look! What’s this?

Ss: Traffic lights.

T:Yes. You are clever. Follow me please! Traffic lights. Traffic lights. Boys please! Girls please.

Boys: Traffic lights. Traffic lights.

Girls: Traffic lights. Traffic lights.

2.Show the traffic lights and teach the rules.

T: These are traffic lights. Who knows the rules.

S1: 红灯停,绿灯行。

S2:黄灯等一等。

T:Wow! You are clever. But who can speak in English?

Ss: No.

T: It doesn’t matter. I will teach you. Now follow me. Stop and wait at a red light.

Ss: Stop and wait at a red light.

T: Small train.

Ss: Round round round.

T: This line please.

S1: Stop and wait at a red light.

S1: They are Mike and Mrs Smith

S2: And three students.

T: Wonderful! And where are they going?  Do they behave themselves. Now watch the video and answer these questions.

4.Watch the video and answer the questions:

Q1-Where are they going?

        -They are going to the nature park.

  Q2:-Do they behave themselves?

-Yes, they do.

5.Watch the video again and follow it.

3. Role-play:

T: work in groups .One is Mike, one is Mrs. Smith, three are students to practice the dialogue. Two minutes for you. Go.

T: Time’s up. Which group wants to show. Ok! Group 3 please! Come here.

T: Are they wonderful

Ss: Yes.

T: Yes. They are wonderful. I love your performs. Big hands.

通过游戏及Fill in the blanks(抢答形式),让学生在游戏和练习中温故红、绿、黄灯的意义,加强记忆及理解,同时激发学生兴趣。

创设一个情境,让学生扮演,既锻炼了学生的胆量及口语,又让学生加深了对文本的理解和体验了生活。同时及时作出评价,促进学生兴趣。

 

Step 4. Production(7minutes)

1.Make a dialogue: According to the pictures to make a dialogue.

2.Work in groups:

T: Now There is a blindman want to cross the road. But he can’t to see the traffic lights. Can you help him.

Ss: Yes.

T: Ok. Now let’s help the blindman cross the road. Four students in a group, one is the blindman, one is the traffic light, two are the helpers. They help the blindman cross the road. Two minutes for you. Go.

3.I am a little traffic officer.

TIf someone breaks the traffic rules

Please stop and say the reasons.

S1:No drinking,

S2:No climbing

S3: No calling.

Make a dialogue是检测学生是否能知识迁移,达到活学活用的效果。

 

通过小组合作,培养学生合作精神和运用知识的能力,又让学生在真实的情境中体验帮助他人文明出行带来的快乐。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

让学生体验一次做小警官的威风,可以增强自信心,其他学生听课会更感兴趣、更认真,自觉性更高。

 

Step 5. Emotion sublimation (2 minutes)

1.If no one obeys the traffic ruleswhat will happen? Now watch a video.

T: After watching the video. How do you feel?

S1: It’s terrible.  S2: scare.  S3: sad.

T: Yes. You are right. The traffic accidents are very terrible. So We must obey the traffic rules, to be good students.

2. To award prizes: Let’s see who is the good student.

T: Now let’s count the points together. Who are the winners?

Ss: The boys.

T: Yes. Congratulations to the boys. Now let’s take a photo together.

通过让学生观看乱闯红绿灯导致严重后果的的交通事故,让学生明白要珍爱自己的生命,必须文明出行,遵守交通规则的道理。

 

通过最后的评比,评出最文明的学生小组并进行颁奖仪式,让学生感到成为文明的学生是一件非常光荣的事,使学生也有成就感,从而促进了对学习英语的热情。

 

Step 6 Summary (2 minutes)

1. Have the students sum up the language points.

T: What have we learned today?

  S1: The traffic lights

  S2: Stop and wait at a red light.

  S3: Go at a green light.

  S4: Slow down and stop at a yellow light.

 T: Wow! Well done. You have good memory. The girls get two points. The boys get two points too.

2.Let’s chant to review the language points.

T: Boys and girls please stand up. Let’s chant together and do the action.

检测学生是否有认真听课,及训练学生归纳能力。

通过chant,再巩回所学的内容,在轻松欢快的节奏中结束本课,让学生留下深刻的印象及回味无穷,增强学习英语的兴趣。

 

Step 7 Homework(1 minute)

1. Copy the key sentences ( three times).

2. Recite the text.

3. Help some people cross the road.

通过抄写重点句及背诵课文,加强对本课的理解及记忆。

通过帮助一些人文明过马路,让学生体验文明出行及帮助他人带来的快乐。
