第三节：there be句型的时态

一般现在时： There is a map of China on the wall.

             There stands a building at the corner.

一般将来时： There will a plan for the project.

There is going to be rain soon.不久天就要下雨了。 It’s going to rain soon.

There is going to be a sports meeting next week.

There is going to be a film in our school this weekend.我们学校这个周末有一场电影。 
There will be thousands of football fans in London next month.下个月伦敦将有成千上万的球迷。 

There is to be a concert at the Albert Hall tonight. It is to be broadcast live. 

一般过去时： How many students were there in your school last term？

             There was a knock at the door.有人敲门。 

There used to be a lake in front of the house.

             There lived a rich man in the village.

             There was a lot to do / to be done. 有很多事要做。

　         　There wasn't any change in him. 他没有什么变化。

　         　There was a third reason for haste. 匆忙行事还有第三个理由。

　　         There was nothing to fear / to be feared from that quarter. 那方面没有什么可怕的。

　　         There were some children swimming in the river. 有些小孩在河里游泳。

　　         There were lots of complaints about the boys, but none about the smoke. 

对这些男孩有许多抱怨，但没有关于抽烟的抱怨。

过去将来时： The teacher said there would be a football match on TV this evening.

             There would be endless rows if I was at home. 如果我在家会有吵不完的架。

　         　Then there would be a plebiscite. 那么就会举行公民投票。

　         　Tom didn't say that there would be a demonstration. 汤姆没说要举行示威游行。

　　         There would never again be a love such as she had felt for Alex. 

永远也不人再有她对爱丽克斯所拥有的那种爱了。

现在完成时： There have been two shops and a hospital here.

There has been a hospital and two shops here.

There have been a series of car accidents at the crossing.

 There has been a girl waiting for you.有个女孩一直在等你。 
There have been a lot of accidents round here.这里出过许多事故。 
There has been some awful weather lately, hasn’t there? 最近天气有时很糟糕，不是吗？ 

There have been a lot of inquiries .提出的询问有很多。

　　         There have been a lot of enquiries.进行过许多调查。

　　         There have been many such accidents. 已发生了好几起那样的事故。

　         　There have been several break-ins this year. 今年发生了好几起强行入室盗窃事件。

　　         There has been an increase in the number of road incidents recently. 最近交通事故的数目有增加。

　　         There have been a lot of bad luck lately. 最近发生了一些变化。

　         　There has been little business between the two companies. 这两家公司之间几乎没有什么业务往来。

There has been a girl waiting for you.有个女孩一直在等你。 

--Have there been any letters from Jack lately? 近日有杰克的来信吗？

            --No, there hasn’t. 不，没有。

            There has been a lot of rain this month. 这个月雨水很多。      

含有情态动词的完成时态：

There could have been … / There can’t have been … 

There might have been …  

There must have been …   

There should have been … / There shouldn’t have been … 

                       There needn’t have been … 

There seems to have been …

There appears to have been …

过去完成时： He told me that there had been an argument between them. 他告诉我他们之间有过一场辩论。

There had been two sea fights between them by the end of 1980.

There had been many such occasions. 曾有许多这种情况。

There had been many such accidents before you came. 你来之前就有过很多起这样的事故。
将来完成时： There will have been a definite result before Friday. 星期五以前将肯定会有结果。

There will have been a conclusion by the end of next weekend.
