北京美国驻华大使馆敦促所有计划于2010年春季入学或进行学术研究的学生和交流访问学者于十一月份来馆面谈。赴美学习热度持续增长，学生数量超过以往。这些学生将于今冬申请签证。学生签证和交流访问学者签证的审理时间可长达两个月。准备2010年1月在美入学的申请人应该现在马上预约并于十一月份面谈。

我们强烈建议学生和交流访问学者马上与签证信息服务中心联系，预约面谈时间，先打先约。从中国致电请拨打4008-872-333或 (021)3881-4611, 从国外致电请拨 (86-21)3881-4611。申请签证所需的所有信息和表格都可在美国使馆网站http://chinese.usembassy-china.org.cn/niv_info2.html上和使馆签证博客http://blog.sina.com.cn/usembassyvisa上免费获得。我们不建议使用中介来申请签证，因为有些中介提供高价、不准确甚至虚假的信息。

U.S. Embassy Urges Students and Exchange Visitors to
Interview for their U.S. Visas in November

The U.S. Embassy in Beijing is urging all students and exchange visitors planning to study or do research in the U.S. spring semester 2010 to appear for their visa interviews this November.   Interest in studying in the United States continues to grow and record numbers of students will be applying this winter.  Student and exchange visitor visas can take up to two months to process.  Applicants who plan to start classes in the United States in January 2010 should make their appointments now and interview for their visas in November.

We strongly encourage students and exchange visitors to contact the Visa Information Call Center immediately at 4008-872-333 (calling within China) or (86-21) 3881-4611 (either calling from China or from overseas) to book an appointment on a first-come, first-served basis.  All of the information and forms needed to apply for a visa are available for free on the U.S. Embassy website at: http://beijing.usembassy-china.org.cn/niv_info.html  and on the U.S. Embassy visa blog at: http://blog.sina.com.cn/usembassyvisa. We do not recommend hiring a visa consultant as the information they provide can be expensive, inaccurate, and at times, fraudulent.
