PEP四年级Unit 5   《Dinners Ready》Lets talk B教学设计

 教学目标

1.学生能够在情景中学习并运用句型Help yourself. Would you like...? Yes,please!/No, thanks. I can use...提出用餐建议和餐具使用建议,并恰当回应。

2.学生能够听说认读单词knife,fork,chopsticks,能够正确使用表达用餐意愿和餐具使用情况。3.学生能够了解用餐礼仪,能够对用餐建议作出恰当反应。4.学生能够初步了解中西方餐饮文化差异。

 教材分析

本课是四年级第五单元Lets Talk B,本单元主题是用餐,学生在A部分通过Mike妈妈征求家人晚餐意见的情境,学习了Whats for dinner? What would you like(for...)?及其答语Id like....。本部分通过Mike到吴一凡家里做客用餐的情景,让学生感知句型Would you like a knife and fork?及其答语No, thanks. I can use chopsticks.的句义及语用情景,并利用对话情景渗透招待客人和用餐时的礼貌言行,同时帮助学生了解中西方饮食文化中餐具使用的差异。

 学生分析

学生掌握了would like语义及部分食物名称,对贴近生活的用餐主题比较容易理解和接受,但对招待客人和用餐时的礼貌言行,以及中西方饮食文化中餐具使用的差异不太了解。

 教学重点

能够在情景中学习并运用句型Help yourself. Would you like...? Yes,please!/No, thanks. I can use...提出用餐建议和餐具使用建议,并恰当回应。能够听说认读单knife,fork,chopsticks,能够正确使用表达用餐意愿和餐具使用情况

 教学难点

单词chopsticks发音及中西方饮食文化差异的理解。

 教学过程

1. Greeting. T: Say hello to the new teacher and all the teachers.

2. Sing together. <</span>What would you like?> T: Try to think it over, what’s the song about? What can you hear in the song? (设计意图:通过歌曲演唱引导学生复习已有食物单词及句型What would you like? Id like...,热身并快速进入课堂)

3. T: What would you like? Here are many kinds of food. Ask and answer with your partners.(设计意图:通过对话练习复习巩固句型What would you like? Id like...

4. New lesson. Show the three pictures. T: Today our friends are coming,too. Look. Who can you see? Where are they? Mike is at Wu Yifans home. Try to guess what the story is about in pairs.(设计意图:通过对图片的观察获取一定信息,充分发挥想象力和观察力,猜测故事发展,为展开学习做好准备。此外不同水平学生可以选择一至三图不等,不做硬性要求)

5. T: Now lets check our guessing. Look at the cartoon story. (设计意图:通过完整观看故事检测猜测了解故事梗概大意)

6. Show the first picture. T: Let’s go to the first picture. Look, its dinner time. Whats for dinner? Mum prepares so much delicious food, what does she say? Try to understand Help yourself. Practice in pairs. (设计意图:带着问题逐句听音,获取答案,理解句义。理解Help yourself语义,并进行初步应用)

7. T: Mum cooks very hard, what should Mike and Wu Yifan say? Do you say thanks or thank you to your mum or dad at home? When do you say thanks? Why not? Remember say that for their hard working. (设计意图:通过thanks引导学生思考为什么要说谢谢,你有没有说过谢谢等问题,明白无论是去他人家做客还是在自己家中都应学会感谢)

8. Show the second picture. T:Dinners ready, look, Wu Yifan and Mike is still talking. What’s in Wu Yifans hand? What does he say? Can you guess? Listen and learn the new sentence: Would you like a knife and fork? Pay attention to the pronunciation. T: Why does he ask Mike to use a knife and fork? Foreigners use a knife and fork for meal. Can you use them? How do you use them?(设计意图:引导学生观察图片细节,猜测吴一凡的意图,并学习新句子,然后思考,为什么吴一凡要这么问呢?发掘学生已有的饮食文化差异知识,你是否会使用刀叉,有没有什么需要注意的地方)

9. T: Would Mike like a knife and fork? Listen and learn : No, thanks. I can use chopsticks. T: Does Mike need a knife and fork? If we dont need, we should say no thanks. Why does Mike say no? He can use chopsticks, thats cool! Can you use chopsticks?Foreigners use a knife and fork for mealChinese use chopsticks. Why does Mike use chopsticks? Can you guess?(设计意图:Mike不需要刀叉,他会使用筷子,所以要先说不谢谢,引导学生理解如何礼貌应答,并猜测为什么他要用筷子呢?发散学生思维,体会入乡随俗以及对中国文化的尊重)

10. T: Why foreigners and Chinese use different ways to eat? Heres a video about that, let’s have a look. (设计意图:进一步了解中西方餐具使用区别与成因,了解差异)

11. Activity. T: Now, let’s try to  give some advices for meal tools? For example, show the pic of beef and try to give a suggestion. (设计意图:进一步检测对餐具使用提出建议的能力,熟练使用新句型)

12. Show the last picture. T: Look, what does mum point? What does she say? Listen and learn: Would you like some soup? Yes, please. Having soup first is good for our healthy.(设计意图:引导学生理解为什么吃饭要先喝汤?中外在这个问题上是比较一致的,先喝汤有益身体健康)

13. T: So much for the little story. Let’s back to the beginning. Listen and repeat just like you are mum, Wu Yifan and Mike. (设计意图:体会角色语气,模仿跟读文本内容,熟练并纠正发音,完整回顾故事内容)

14. Dubbing Time. T: Try to act the charactor you like in the dialog. Pay attention to the standard.(设计意图:从一个角色配音,到完整的故事配音,针对不同层次学生设置不同任务)

15. Show Time One. T: Do you want to act the story out? Work in groups and try to act. Pay attention that boys you can act Wu Yifan and Mike, girls you can be mum.(设计意图:提高输出难度,针对大部分学生进行脱离文本并带有角色特点的进行表演,提高语言应用能力,提醒注意性别安排,选择适合自己的角色)

16. Show Time Two. T: You all did a good job. Look, heres a menu. These are todays specials. Would you like some....? Would you like a knife and fork/ chopsticks? Make a new dialog in pairs and try to show.(设计意图:再次提高输出难度,满足学有余力学生学习需要进行对话的创编,在用餐的情境中自如使用所学语言提出建议并应答)

Homework. (A)Finish the new dialog after the class. (B) Get more knowledge about the different food culture in different countries.
