滨海湾花园（Gardensby the Bay）项目导视系统由thomas.matthews公司设计。滨海湾花园在世界同类型的花园项目中也是数一数二的，坐落于滨海湾新开发的土地上，对于来自五湖四海的游客是一个独一无二的休闲胜地。

为了解决既要代表复杂多变的自然环境，又要从多层面的新加坡文化中汲取灵感，设计团队开发出一个精致有机的“品牌模式”。这个模式巧妙地隐藏了游客可以在花园中发现的野生生物，完美体现了这个项目想要唤起人们在发现大自然中感受大自然的快乐。这个多变的模式已经在所有的交流平台上被无数次地修正、提炼、整合和实施，也在花园的标识导向和销售规划中广泛应用。它已经被激光切割成背光标识，用来在避风亭上制作精致的装饰，亦或是用在制作丝巾或者大手提袋等纺织制品。

在经历过了对新加坡独特的多种族文化的广泛调查之后，山竹果子的深紫色被选为设计的主色调。花园和园林的美化都遵守这个基调，另外在整个作品中还加入了超级树种深深的酒红色和蜻蜓桥的淡红色。

Gardens by the Bay is one of the largest garden projects of its kind in the world. Located onreclaimed land in Singapore’s new downtown at Marina Bay the site provides aunique leisure destination for local and international visitors.

The Garden’sidentity pattern took its lead from the stars of the garden; the flora andfauna. The studio worked closely with the masterplanning team to help create anidentity that worked not only on the communication media but also, withinarchitecture, landscape, packaging and even the tour bus.

In response tothe challenge of representing the massively diverse environment, and takinginspiration from the multi- layered Singaporean culture, the eastern craft ofpaper-cutting and the paintings of Rousseau (the client’s favourite artist), wedeveloped an intricate and organic ‘brand pattern’. The pattern cleverlyconceals wildlife that can be found in the gardens, and the process ofdiscovering them suitably reflects the wonder of the natural world that theproject evokes.

This diversepattern has been has been cropped, abstracted, tessellated and implementedthrough all communication channels and used extensively through the gardenwayfinding, and on merchandising. It has been laser cut into back-lit signage,used as filigree patterns in shelters as well as textile designs for scarvesand tote bags. The also studio developed two cuts of typeface withcomplimentary icon designs.

After detailedresearch on the unique multinational culture of Singapore a comprehensive colourpalette was created with the deep purple of the Mangosteen fruit as theprincipal unifying tone. The themed gardens and landscaping follow thispalette. The rich claret of the Supertrees and the bright red of the DragonflyBridge add to this overall colour composition.
